Yeah they are flat screen CRT's, 20". The big tv is a 40"/42" plasma.. I got it from Frys (electronic store) off the shelf for almost 40% off for $750.

Oh, is it just me or does it look like the molding (quarter round maybe) is missing on the side with the two tvs where it meets the hearth?
Thank you. I plan on painting the casing for those TVs because I think that will make it look better.

It's just you.. No I haven't finished it completely yet! I need to add the molding to the bottom left pole. Not finishing it before football season was the worst idea.. between work & grad school during the week and football on weekends I have no time to do any work on the house!

Ya, I know what you mean actually. I have things I changed around the house that look much better in person than they do in my pictures.

You did good work; you should be proud of it!

I'll throw in the dissenting vote on the white paint decision. I can't stand white paint, in fact I don't like painting wood at all. I give the black a . Too bad cable doesn't carry the NFL or NCAA tourney packages though.

And fireplaces are overrated IMO. It may heat the room up but it's a dry, oppressive heat if you don't have any humidity, and it leaves the rest of the house cold as a stone. Plus you'd need it maybe twice a year when the temp plunges to 50 down in Alabama?
