looking awesome man, love the paint scheme. my house has all oak trim and windows, not white, and I hate it. I know the quality is good but I like the white you have in your house MUCH more.

Your place looks great - that's a lot of work! And I love your wife's paint choices.

Thank you!
Thank you!
Thank you! Valspar...? I will go get the paint colors in a bit.
Some updates..
Scott was over one weekend and we started installing the drywall in the garage. We laid it on top of the jeep to bring it to the house.
Wife painted the door black, and then I painted the railing.
About to frame the entry ways.
Bought a new tool. This one is a lot of fun haha.
Finally got around to building the stone retaining wall.
Hoping the succulents will stay strong.

The kitchen got some love over the past few days. We love it so much more now. Thinking about constructing some cabinets to go on the top with glass faces. If not just add some trim to the top of them and trim on the ceiling.

The house is looking beautiful man. Loving all the changes you have done. The cabinets do look 100x better being white and really flow well with the rest of the colors your have chosen. The stone wall out front is a great addition.
I did drywall once with my dad and I hated it. Hope to never do it again. Looks like you guys got it done pretty quickly though.
I was thinking the other day that there have not been anymore updates on this in a while and you had been on a pretty big roll before. Good to see more.

Looking good, man!
I wouldn't bother with putting additional glass front cabinets on top. As nice as it makes the kitchen look, you'll likely be unable to reach them anyway. Putting the top valence on, though, is a nice touch. It definitely adds character to the kitchen.

yea some crown on top with maybe some LED lighting would be perfect... anything else would just be showcase that wouldn't be touched 99.9% of the time...

I agree with just adding molding to the top. Then build some small stands for places you want to put decorative items on top of the cabinets so the base of those items starts level with the molding.

The other day I finally went out to the garage and decided to crack open the rustoleum epoxyshield box that I bought before we moved in. The stuff went on quick. Didn't even clean the floor before with water. Just swept it really good. We will see how well it holds up over time.
Decided not to throw the little chips out. It's definitely slippery when wet.

Did a lot of work in the yard in March because it was so nice out.
I was curious how the bulbs were going to do and this was the first one to bloom.
Created a small raised bed and planted some vegetables.
Finally found some black bamboo.
The Sekka Yatsubusa survived the winter so we were happy to watch it bloom.
Went on a Japanese maple spree and found some pots for them.
Katsura.
This one right here is really thriving. It's an Asiatic Lily and it will be awesome when it comes out. Planted it last year and wasn't sure if it would return.

Old question, but I am curious also. GF has oak cabinets and they don't really fit in. The guy who she usually gets to paint flat out refused to paint them because he said it would destroy the value of the home. I don't get it.
I'm curious if the grain is still very noticeable in the wood. They look really smooth after painting

Thank you for the comments Sirs.
I think the paint was called Arctic White. I forget what brand it was. Here is the before and after of the other side of the kitchen that I don't think I posted.

Unfortunately that garage floor is not going to last. I've been painting my garage floors with every conceivable floor paint according to the directions, and they never last. I get tire marks, uprooted paint from tires, etc. If you're OCD like I am, you'll never be satisfied.

Arctic White Zero VOC ? Paint Couture Shop
Is that familiar?

I have to agree on the floor and it seems there was no real prep work done, which is going to come back to haunt you. My BIL does commercial grade concrete floor coatings in CT and they last but I think he said it is like $5k to do a 2 car garage

Thanks! The lighter shade is called Aspen Gray. The darker shade is called Mountain Smoke. Both are Valspar.
Thanks! Valspar Aspen White.
What brands have you tried? Did you do the moisture test?
I was way off the mark. The paint I used is Valspar Snowcap White. You are welcome. I should take some more photos of it without the flash. Looks a lot better in person than it does in the photos I posted.
A tiled garage floor would be awesome.
Wow sounds like there is money to be made painting garage floors.
Thanks! Valspar Aspen White.

This is the most likely thing I found:

even professionally done and prepped i have never really seen epoxy floors last... the tire heat usually causes lifting and the only way i have seen it work is if you lay down floor runners over everywhere you have tire contact... but then you cover all the epoxy so then what's the point...
