Anyone have any success getting rid of moles?

I've tried the traps, sprays, getting rid of the bugs, ultrasonic spikes, etc. Has anyone ever successfully gotten rid of these things?

Sounds painful to put yourself through all that. Visiting a doctor would probably be easier? Lol

You need to remove their food source. I recommend burning everything within a half mile radius.

If you know where their holes are, you can try the CO method.

Just hook a hose to your tailpipe and run it to the hole and give-er-some-gas...

Similarly, I use a Hose and drown them. But now that's a waste of water and frowned upon... Stupid Cali.

My wife had one cut out of her back, but it left a pretty large scar.

I have nothing constructive to add, and for that I apologize, but I wanted to say that the range of topics that come up on AZine never ceases to amaze me.

Pinesol. Just enough to stink it away. If you have a large lot, this will not work. Google it, if you don't believe me...

Your dog doesn't go after them? My parents had a mole problem, they got scared off when their dog was alive ()

I had success getting rid of mine. I moved to a better neighborhood. Seriously though I had them at the last house and thankfully do not at the new house.

My 4 dogs never scared them away and two have extremely high prey drive and would tryn and dig them up but they still kept tunneling under my yard.

My dog is almost 14 years old. I don't even know when those little bastards are digging.

If you were local, I know a crazy weinerdog that'll have them gone in a weekend. A dog would be your best bet. Search locally for one to be hired out.

^That's actually a legit proposal. They were bred to flush out badgers and other dwelling animals.

If if you can deal with the yapping...

Call Richard Gear. He knows how to get rid of small, tunelling animals.

im im sure the size of a chubby mole would be all that much appealing to him...

Having Groundhogs are easier than Moles. Moles will NOT stop digging, plus Groundhog tastes better.

Tried that. Moles laughed and kept dancing to Kenny Loggins' "I'm All Right."

This is the best bet; however, it takes a consistent application (over several weeks) of insect killer for lawns to show results. Sometimes, though, the result may only be driving them into your neighbors lawn, hehe.

I use ORTHO Bug B Gone granules applied in a liberal dose via fertilizer spreader, with wide margins, in the mole inhabited area. Then immediately after said application I water the area thoroughly. Rinse and repeat for several weeks and monitor. Usually, after about three applications, the varmits curtail their activity in that treated area and move on, hopefully not into an untreated area of your remaining lawn. This method does not actually kill them, per say, it just compels them to find a new food source. YMMV
Good Luck!

I got some mole granules, and plan to spread them tonight on the lawn.
