Another furniture paint job...
We acquired another piece of antique weird furniture the other day. It was in pristine condition, but a pretty ugly color wood that doesn't match anything in our house.
I liked the somewhat distressed look I got with the Union Jack table I painted a few months back. I wanted to go all the way with this one.
1) I took everything apart. Doors/hinges off.
2) I sanded it with 100grit.
3) Took the tools shown below and kicked its ass for a few minutes. Literally...just hit it where I wanted scars. I used chucks of the candle to go over edges where I didn't want the paint to stick. I've never used this method, but now I swear by it.
4) 3 hours later...done and done. I used Rustoleum Satin Aqua...very close to Tiffany Blue. I painted a mirror to match it and am going to look for some lamps tomorrow. This is going in our entry hall.
Pictures in post 3. No camera phone pics either!
When I get the whole thing setup, I'll snap some more.

Hey there -- definitely interested in seeing the pics but it they aren't working. Its just a generic photo from photobucket saying that your bandwidth has been exceeded =\
