Finally got around to building my shelves for my shed. 8ft long 4ft tall, open slot is for storing my lawn mower upright during the winter. Don't mind the mess, can't wait til we have our rummage so I can have my garage back!
Just finished the floor at my first home which is now a rental. Took a pic of the tools used for the floor. The ugly. Peel and stick tile from 12 years ago. On top still looked decent but underneath a different story. Padded backing. Done! Took a pic of the house because the tree bloomed a different color this year. 6 bedroom house, transformed by me from 2 and 2 duplex. Still needs more work.
Thanks, back at you on your kitchen. I really wanted to do tile but was concerned since the house is 100 years old(too many factors). This floor was the right fit in my opinion, better than expected.
We chose a more expensive tile for this since we spend more time here compared to the office and formal dining room. The $200 tile saw that we had purchased from lowes worked like a champ.
Couple questions:
did you tile around your cabinets and dishwasher?
what did you do to transition from the tile to the wood floor?
Just got the shed done Start to Finish. It was a challenge because the backyard is on an angle but turned out to be not that bad.
Uneven ground. Used pressure treated lumber for the box.
Filled it in with 1 ton of left over from a previous project of crushed stone and topped it off with 1 ton of blue crusher stone. Also installed a weed barrier fabric and was going to throw away the arborvitae but decided to replant them here instead as a decorative piece.
Read the "whole" instructions first. It really helps.
Done!
Filled in the bare spots around the shed and the fence line with some mulch.
what shed is that? my cheap plastic 40 sq ft shed ain't doing a damn thing for me... i need more room for the gardening tools and stuff..
Mainly storage in the shed. I did think of making one for the garage that would double for a work bench and miter table. Cut a section out to drop the saw in when I need to use it then have a table top to slide in place when I don't need it. Then again, I am planing on cleaning the garage out and leaving only a few cabinets and tool box. I only have a 2 car with roughly 16" on each side of the garage door. Makes it hard to get 2 cars in with stuff on the sides. Reason I am making as much storage in the shed as possible.
Shed is roughly 10' wide x 15' deep x 6' before the roof. Looking into my options for rebuilding the shed. Its a metal shed now with a few dents/pin holes that leak and the floor isn't level. Good enough until the exterior house projects are done, then I'll drop money on a shed.

The shed is vinyl wrapped and we bought it a Sears Outlet in VA for the home in VA. we are working on. Bought it for temporary storage until we get the permanent shed up. Notice the shed base is bigger than the shed, built it bigger intentionally to be able to put a 10x12 wood shed up in the future.
Got a great deal (lucky) on the existing shed. 275.00 all in a box. It`s not only a good deal but is pretty solid. Might just keep this one.

I tiled under them. I had broken tiles and used them under there instead of going through the headache of trying to get new ones.
At the tile place, we had purchased an 8' metal edge. It gets tucked under the tile and makes a nice edge. It sticks up about 1/2-3/4 inch above the wood. But, we are getting carpet installed over the wood and should make it pretty even.
Finally somewhat finished with the Bathroom update. Ended up using travertine crown for the 3/4 wall. I don't even want to go back and look when my last post was, this was almost a year long project lol
Still have to swap out the door handles hinges and tub handles with brushed nickel. Wife wanted new floor tile as well so I guess that took a bit more time.. This was supposed to be a simple swap out of the tile and turns into much more of course.
Threw some 18x18($30 total) travertine on the countertop along with some $50 ikea sinks and framed out the mirror with some cedar fence(looks rough). Was trying to get close to the color of the maple cabinets, but the knots in the cedar made it look like crap so I painted the frame white.
