What what's the tire/rim/drop on the TL? Looks like you've got a lot of meat stuffed into those wheel wells, and enough tire that there's some curb insurance.

probably more for traction than curb protection.
I also like beefy tires and hate stretched tires

Exactly, function over form... nothing looks better than something that performs, it has a beauty all to itself. Curb protection is just a side benefit.
