Workouts/diets to heathily gain weight?
My boyfriend is prescribed a medicine that has made him lose about 25 lbs in the past 6 months. He is trying to gain the weight back and build muscle. I'm trying to help motivate him and I was just wanting some input from you guys on different workouts or diets that can help bulk him up without any negative side effects. Thanks

In short, he needs to eat more calories than he burns. Hard work in the gym to promote muscle growth, lots of protein to support that growth. He'll put on some fat if he's doing it properly, that's inevitable. But he shouldn't expect to get all that fat.

The question would be has he reduced the amount he is eating due to the medication or is he just burning more calories? If the medication is reducing his appetite then he will have to force himself into eating regularly.
