Insanity Program

I started the Insanity program about 3 weeks ago and holy crap are you dripping sweat through out the work out! It def works though, I have more energy and I'm feeling leaner. I need to get a %BF scanner to see numerical results, but I can surely see it in the mirror. I plan to pick up P90x after and then go back to Insanity.

Anyone else doing Insanity?

I did about a week of it but had to stop because of my foot.. almost a year later I'm hoping tonight's cortisone shot will be the last one and get rid of the pain. It was a fun program and something I hope I can actually get back to doing if my foot holds up

Did it. It kicked my ass. Hard. But it was great and I loved it. My only complaint, and I heard this from a few others who had done it was that my neck started to hurt. Possibly from trying to do the exercises while watching the TV/Laptop but I am not sure...

It's a killer workout. I often had to press pause just to not pass out or puke.

HRM... really? you think its easier than p90x?
Have you tried p90? Seems by the way they advertise it, that insanity is just that... : the craziest intense workout routine EVER!

Or do you mean easier, cuz 60days is easier to handle than 90days?

Now you got me wondering.

I remember when I first started it I put the phone handset near me and dialed 9-1 so all I would have to do is press one digit if my heart burst like it felt like it would!

So I changed it up and repeated Phase 1 (aka Month 1) and just started Phase 2. HOLY HELL, I've never worked out so hard in my life. Month 2 puts you at your limits.

Never posted how it went, the program went great, and I'm thinking about adding it to my summer running. I do an insanity workout here and there when its too humid to run outside. Overall I dropped about 10 lbs and an inch off the waist. Felt good, I'm quicker, have more stamina during workouts and improved my running! I recommend this to anyone.

Would Insanity be a good program to try to bulk up a bit? It seems like its better for losing weight and toning. Not sure if its for gaining mass? Doesn't seem like it?

More for losing weight and toning. P90x is a better program to bulk.

day 3...my legs were sore so wasn't my calves starting out today. the first 7 minutes was brutal on my legs because of the previous soreness, but the pain went away.....

i can say it is brutal but good, definitely makes you want to push hard.

my legs are going to be killing me tomorrow....

stogie - how far did you get in the program and your results from it?

the warmup, i didn't think would be that brutal but damn the warm up is tough on your body....

Honestly, I think the warmup was the hardest part!

The football running in place (hand up in blocking position) was the absolute hardest thing for me and my calves...

I lost about 25-30 (from 190+ish to 170) pounds, 3 inches off my waist size and despite not doing the program for a while now have kept the weight off through diet changes that I also started with the program.

I found that my neck would begin to hurt after four to five days of the program, so make sure you stretch that out a bit (it's not included in the program) but perhaps that was due to me looking at the laptop screen (eye level) while doing the routines.

the warmup is pretty intense i'm not going to lie, then you bring the breathing down and then your back at it. i'm looking to get dow to 170. i'm at 180 now, 170 would get me pretty lean and under 10% body fat.

my neck has always hurt a little bit, i think it is because of trying to look at the laptop, it's a little low.

I did Insanity w/ my wife and friends from 4 Jan - 1 May and saw huge changes. Just moved back to the states and took 3 weeks of leave. Began Insanity day 1 today.
