I just picked up Mens American Health and Fitness.....pretty good magazine alot of short work outs and meals to go along...I was in borders and picked it up cause i was bored and have to get back into working out again...
I didnt want to pick up any of the big body builder magazines because i feel like they arent focused towards the every day person..but more towards the big juicers/body builders..

Most people i know say they're all junk. The most hated seems to be Men's Health, which basically proclaims a new exercise and diet fad to be the best thing ever every month. You might like the stuff in Men's Journal, although that's not a fitness magazine (it's a great rag in general, by far my favorite). I've really been impressed with the fitness sections in their last few issues. One was about the most highly renowned powerlifting gym in the world, another was an interesting article about the training methods the U of M swim coach uses on his team. Both of those articles ended with a workout plan tailored for your average joe to use.
My gym will post an article from Muscle and Fitness on the wall every so often, and the ones they throw up are pretty good. I don't subscribe or buy it on the newstand so i have no idea if anything else in there is any good, but that'd be a good one to try.
Most workout magazines are targeted at people who want to cut corners and are motivated purely by vanity. Keep that in mind when you look at one.
