What plan?

What plan?
I have been working out for about 3 years now. But in the last year or so I started slacking off and I haven't been serious about going to the gym all that much. I want to start up again but I am not sure what kind of a plan I want to do.
Can you recoment a plan for me or direct me somewhere where I can find a good plan. I essentially want to lose 10lb and cut down. I am only 5'11" and at 200lb right now( I know it sounds much but people can't ever guess that's how much I weigh when they see me. Everyone says I don't look more then 180lb). My shoulders and arms are somewhat cut already but my midsection is not all that much. I would like to acomplish my goal in the next month and a half and I already cut out drinking and started eatting less crapy food and in smaller portions. Please help me out here.

I'm not an expert but I could try to give a few pointers... So far the cutting out drinking part is a great start. I've never tried it but I hear it is great if you want to lose weight/fat. So from there eating better is next. NO fast food. Try to eat more veggies and chicken and turkey. I've heard some say that smaller foods spread throughout the day is better, I've heard some say there is no difference doing it. Next, CARDIO. Get out there and do some running or bicycling. Or swimming if you have a big enough pool. Most probably you will get worn out pretty quickly. That is expected after not working out for a long time. Give it time and you will be able to do logner distances. Only thing is you say 1 month to do all this and this usually takes more time soooo hmmm. I'll let someone else give some tips.

cardio, resistance training, better eating.
and yes... 5-6 meals a day>2-3 meals day. Whoever told you that it makes no difference doesn't know what they're talking about.
cardio done AFTER lifting. keep it moderate intensity... meaning, if you're out of breath? and couldn't hold a conversation with the person next to you? then... back off a bit.
drink a lot of water, I mean A LOT... someone your size? I'd aim for 1.5-2 gallons a day.
unless you have low blood pressure (which most people don't), watch your sodium/salt intake. yes, men retain water too. By drinking a lot of water and simply cutting down on sodium/salt, you may even drop 2-5lbs alone worth of water retention. I find asparagus to be one of the best natural diuretic... (google "asparagus as diuretic" and you'll get about 88k links). It makes your pee smell funky... but along with drinking a lot of water, you'll drop some bloatedness. I recommend the water/asparagus to all my clients getting ready for a certain event (wedding day, photoshoots, etc etc..).

^ I have always wondered whether cadio then weights or weights then cardio is better. I probably visited about 50 different sites and half said one was better half said the other was better. I'd like more info on it too

you pre-fatigue your muscles doing cardio before lifting... I've been around some hardcore gyms in my life... and of all the bodybuilders I've known (and 2 of them turned IFBB Pro), none of them did cardio first. Many will do cardio by itself, like preparing for a contest, they'll do cardio in the morning (by itself), then train/lift later that day/night... then do cardio again AFTER.
plus, I don't care what people say... I still stick with the theory of the fact that you go right into fat burn when doing cardio AFTER. This comes from "tried and true" of personal experience.

thanks is300eater, I was always doing cardio before too as a warm up. but I will try it this way and see what happens. Also the water and asparagus thing seems to work. I read about it today.
do you have any recomended work out plans that I can get off the net. I am not looking for anything too extreme just something that will get me some what in shape.

Sorry I post this in every thread but it works for me. Just follow their routines and scale accordingly.

well going on a vacation in 2 days and that means that I had to check if I met my goal of losing 10LB in a month and a half since I posted the first post. I was 204LB to begin with and today I am 192LB.
Didn't have a particulate plan for this, just rotated the muscles from day to day and did random excersises. Also 10 min cardio after every work out and I took muscle prime before every work out. It worked great and I am so happy with the results. Gonna continue doing the same thing when I get back from the vacation and hoping to lose another 5-8lb.

It's hardest to keep it off. Me and my wife lost weight but slowly it's coming back. God forbid you don't work out on Monday or Tuesday. I ran Tuesday, drank last night, and her sister's back from Peru so more drink less exercise.

With that said I'm considering running in the morning before work to try to get mine more defined but I've never done that before and I'll have to change my sleep times... argh sacrifices.

I was thinking about just doing a mile in the morning to get everything going on top of my normal stuff after work.

We'll I ran this morning in the first of my "morning runs" feels good.
I capped it off when some total raisin bran with a sliced banana and skim milk.
We'll see how this whole endeavor ends up. I'm trying to get my abs chiseled and working in an office for 8 hours a day is really helpful =)
