Washing workout clothes
Clothes that you workout in.....
....yea, don't wash them in cold water. I did on accident, and when the wash cycle finished, they were still
Had to put them through again. This time with softener and color bleach.

Never had a problem with cold water. Just make sure you put enough detergent in.
EDIT: I just noticed you're 18, and doing your own laundry. So I have to give you some props for that.

Read the care label.
Most bleach will kill your fabric over time, and with some materials, it will damage them immediately.... Also, cold water wash is great (more energy efficient, cleans well), but it might not be the best option in all situations. Hot water is often needed to kill a lot of the bacteria that lies in fabrics (but beware, clothing may shrink if they have otherwise only been washed cold and kept out of the dryer). Bacteria = odor and stains. I wash all of my bedding in hot water for the reason mentioned above. I'd watch out for fabric softener too often as well...it coats the fabric fibres.
