Vitamin question for the health nuts:

Do flaxseed oil supplements provide the same benefits as fish oil supplements? The bottle says they have the omegas that I want, and they certainly don't have that "I just ate a pound of raw fish entrails" aftertaste, but I want to make sure.

Thanks!

Not sure about the flaxseed, but cooking your fish will take care of that "raw" aftertaste.

Yes - Omega-3 and O-6 fatty acids are going to provide the same supplements, whether they come from plant or fish

Flakseed oil supplements (i.e. pills) don't contain the same amount of Omega-3s as a spoonful of Flakseed oil. The pills are much easier to take, just pop and swallow, and actual oil tastes like ass. I usually just quickly spoon the oil and chug as much water as possible. Liquid version > pill version

yes, the liquid flaxseed supplement are much more efficient for getting your omega3s.

I cannot eat fish everyday, so I take a flaxseed oil 2x a day. I take Barleans - Udos is another good product.
