Total Knee Replacement?

Total Knee Replacement?
I had a total knee replacement last October. Curious if any other members here have had one and if they're working out again.
My ROM is now 0* to 105* so it's a major improvement from where I was at pre-op, 32*-98* and the implant is looking food.
I'm able to run, bike, jump and even deadlift, but I haven't had much luck with squats. Still working on getting those going again.

I haven't had one, but my dad is going next week to get his first knee replaced. He needs to get both done. Sounds like the rehab is a b*tch, but ROM, etc. is a lot better afterwards. Your example a case in point.

Rehab- I chose to do it on my own. I didn't like the idea of forced manipluation. It was painful and counterproductive, IMO. They forcibly bend your leg causing you great pain and great swelling- two huge setbacks in sugery recovery. I instead, chose to do nothing for six weeks- literally laid around. I then did my stretches, did lots of work in the pool and got a massage every week. It sounds so 1970's, but it worked.
Good luck to your dad!

A friend of mine has had this done and rehab is a bitch.
It took 6 months of rehab before he could stand enuff
to continue work as butcher.
Note he was 65 when it was done.
Rehab is better when young.
