Shoulder specialist?

Is there such a thing as a doc that specializes in shoulders? How do I find one? I live in NJ, Morristown area.

I messed up my left shoulder doing bench press on a smith machine, now I'm worried I did something to the rotator cuff. It's been about 2 weeks, and it's still feeling funky.

Thanks.

You can go to any doctor or physical therapist and they should be able to diagnose you. What are the symtoms?

Some orthopaedic surgeons specialize in the upper extremity only; some of which are fellowship trained in shoulder disease.

It hurts when I do flat or incline bench, overhead press, or flys.

It doesn't hurt when I do lateral or forward raises.

Thanks.

Rothman Orthopedics in Philly does have people who specialize in specific portions of the upper body.

I'll ask at the YMCA if anyone can recommend a good ortho or PT. Thanks for the feedback.
