Possible broken toe - which doc to see?

Big Block go VROOOM!
When you decide on an Ortho, you may want to ask if they'll do the x-ray in the office or if they're going to send you somewhere. If they're going to send you somewhere else, you may then want to ask if you can somehow get it taken care of before your office visit. I've heard of some orthopedic practices doing this for "basic" things like toes and fingers.
The orthopedic doc I went to for a toe happened to be next to a hospital. He just talked to me for a couple of minutes, handed me a prescription for the x-ray set, and said see you in 90 minutes or so.

Not Asian
I would think most orthopedics would have their own xray machines, considering that pretty much majorly deal with broken bones. Mine luckily also has their own MRI as well.

However, a general practitioner, family physician or emergency doctor (maybe even at an urgent care center) should also be able to deal with a broken/smashed toe- they probably see quite a few of these after a few years in practice.
