Picked up Bowflex SelectTech 552s

It was either that or a rack of individual pairs. So I went for less space.

Perhaps paid a premium over buying used individual sets, but that's the price you pay, I guess.

Starting p90x next week, so they'll come in handy.

Nice

I'd personally get the rack, but if space is an issue I can understand why. Is it a pain to change the weight on those? Do they feel "clunky" in your hands?

I used to have these in the past as my mom got them for me for Xmas a couple years back. I used them once in a while, but I mainly went to the gym, so they went unused for most of their life. They were fantastic though whenever I did use them. The only problem is they're a bit clunky, but no biggie. I ended up selling them for like $150. Oh well

I wouldn't say clunky. It's definitely a different feeling, though. Not a pain to change. I got the 2010 model which has some improvements on the smoothness of the dial for changing.

keep updating us as you use them more. I have been looking into getting these later this year and have read nothing but good things about them but most of those are initial reviews. Interested to hear someone that has used them for a couple months (durability, ease of use, etc)

Did you get a good deal? I've been thinking of picking up a pair for a while.

They can be had on eBay (new) for $370 shipped. I just went to Dicks had some gift certificates and walked out with them for about $390.

Deal? I don't think you can get a deal on these unless they're used.

Last christmas they were like $100-120 off on Amazon and I am kicking myself for not getting them. I didn't realize they are hardly ever on sale.

No experience, but they don't look all that comfortable? The "block" reference in the name certainly fits.
