You should be seeing results soon of how much you can do or the ease of it. Every one is different. I started to see physical results in the 2nd or 3rd week. by that i mean pants fitting differently and leaning out in certain areas. I really wish i had/have been able to stick with the program more regularly. I have noticed decent results and am in what would normally be about week 8-9 now (30lbs lighter and noticing arms and chest changing)

as far as whey goes I got this which was recommended to me by another member on here and TSXpeed has a similar one

http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-Nutrit...1645374&sr=8-1

Mixed in with 2% milk, it reminds me of Ovaltine... and whodathunkit, Ovaltine has whey in it too.

I've been slacking horribly though.... quite ashamed of myself. Been busy, lazy, and family from out of country are over for a month so I want to spend time with them. Haven't done jack shit since the last week which was in the middle of the recovery week. Should I just start the recovery week over and pick up from there?

I think i would just start where the the next step starts after the recovery week (dont know if you saw it but i posted the schedule on the last page)

As for the Whey, i found if i use low fat or 1% with the protein it makes it worse for me, 50% water 50% 2% milk seems to be the easiest on me but still not normal.

I just started p90x..again.

I started a month ago but I quit because I didn't have the proper equipment (weights) and I was getting ready to move to a new apartment etc.

I just finished up plyometrics for the first time. Great God that destroyed me. I quit halfway, in fear that my legs were going to snap.

I'm in pretty decent shape, but that was too intense. Are most people able to complete the plyometrics workout by the end of the p90x program?

edit- I just read the previous pages. Happy to see I'm not only one having a hard time.

It's been a while since I've done plyo but even in my glutton stage I still finished the first day, only missing the last few reps in some of the exercises and getting sloppy near the end. But I'm probably much shorter and lighter than most of you guys.

Still, a double..... sheesh. Masochist much?

What does double plyo mean?

(Is it double the reps? or doing the workout twice?)

Haven't heard of it. Their bottles are pretty cool though, they are like a short chubby version of Voss water.

Its been a while since I've updated my status, but I have been on and off with my workouts and maintaining my diet somewhat.

When I first started, I was a size 42 in the pants and 263 pounds. This was...say 4 months ago.

Right now, I'm a size 38 and 237 pounds. I'm getting ready to start it back up again, in hopes of losing another 20 pounds.

Another homemade recovery drink recipe

Equal parts:

Orange or Apple juice
Skim Milk
Fat Free Yogurt (I prefer raspberry or strawberry)

Stir it up or put in blender with ice. Very tasty and gives you the 4:1 carb:protein ratio.

8 oz serving is 100 calories

Bummer.

Tell you what i felt so much better throughout the day when was working out as opposed to the last month or so that i wasnt. Im happy that im forcing myself to have the time to do it again. Having a baby in the house made it hard to do but it needs to be done.

Thats typically the case for me too. I feel rather sluggish now that I havent been working out. I cant even get warmed up properly to do exercises because I cant jump or anything on this leg.

Do some extra for me

I would think you could still do the upper body exercises till you can use the leg?? Just dont do the cardio warm up with the jumping.

Day 1 – Chest and Back, plus Ab Ripper X

Day 2 – rest

Day 3 – Shoulders and Arms, Ab Ripper X

Day 4 – rest

Day 5 – Repeat day 1? Or do (Back and Biceps or Chest, Shoulders and Triceps), Ab Ripper X

Day 6 – Repeat day 3 or one of the above in day 5?

Day 7 – Rest or X Stretch

I lost more than 30 pounds between two FULL rounds of P90X over the last two years and will start my third round sometime around Christmas break. The results are real and they are sustainable. Not just in weight-loss, but also from a strength, fitness and appearance stand point as well.

I recently ran my first marathon and there's no way I could have done it without this program whipping me into shape beforehand.

My diet was actually pretty good before, no fast food, no junk food, no soda, etc..., but "portion control" wasn't in my vocab.

I didn't follow the P90X diet to a "T", but I did follow most of it's principals.
I did only two things for first 30 days - cut out red-meat and booze entirely for a month - and lost the bulk of my weight during that time.

The rest of it was very simple lifestyle changes like simply eating less (smaller portions), eating leaner (chicken or fish instead of steak or beef) eating foods lower on the Glycemic Index (more natural foods, veggies, fruit), drinking only once a week (I LOVE beer and wine )

Combine that diet with a pretty dedicated workout program, 5-6 days of 60+ minutes of activity, and it really worked wonders for me. You just need the will-power to STICK WITH IT!

Just because people quit P90X doesn't mean there aren't results. Of course you aren't going to see results in a week. Many, many people quit for whatever reason. I'm not ashamed to admit that I did. But I will certainly be doing it again. Main reason why I quit is cause I'm lazy

I'm starting back up on Monday. I'm also doing a bike course aimed at significantly improving the power in my legs, so I'm going to concentrate on the upper body/abs/stretching workouts in P90X. Essentially, I'll substitute in the bike trainer days for Plyo and Kenpo.

Not sure if this has been posted before, but there are "behind the scenes" videos on youtube. Nothing earth shattering, but kind of interesting watching some of the videos like the test group videos and some of the discussion the principles had while going through development.

Go to youtube and search for "The making of P90X"
