Why not just go to your local grocery store and get the lean cuisine dinners? It is the same thing and probably 1/4 the price.

The women in my office just had the same discussion, a few swear by LA weight loss stuff over Nutrisystem.

I just had my 1st nutrisystem meal... Got the package today from UPS (40lbs)... Anyway I had the thin crust pizza and a desert bar. The pizza was actually pretty good and the bar wasn't too bad either. I am still a little hungry but not starving or anything. Going to pick up some fruit tonight to have to fill me up. BTW, before dinner I worked off 691 calories on the eliptical.

Nutrisystem is pretty much a modified south beach diet. If you're not a picky eater and don't want to spend much ($10 a day for all meals), its a good deal and keeps you in check from what you eat. I low carb from time to time and its expensive, Nutrisystem is a cheap alternative. My friend lost a bunch of weight using it, but he was a picky eater so he couldn't stick with it.

Lean Cuisine is NOT the same as Nutrisystem and is more expensive. Nutrisystem targets your glycemic index (low carbing), where Lean Cuisine tends to be overall eating right. Lean Cuisine you'll have to work out religiously, where Nutrisystem if you lax on the workout, you're still losing weight. Low carbing works, its just a bitch to keep up with, Nutrisystem makes it easier.

No I'm not a sales person for Nutrisystem

Also, Lean Cuisine tends to be high in sodium

I just looked up the "thin crust pizza" and that didn't look like something I would eat on a low cal diet and it is not low on the gi scale at all(contains enriched flour). 220 cal, 10g of fat, 24g of carbs with only 1g of fiber and 9g of protein. I'd rather have a chicken breast with some broccoli or brown rice which isn't expensive at all. Looked at the meals and it looks like you eat about 1000/cal per day so you are definitely going to lose weight. To me, the food wouldn't be worth $70/week. Lean Cuisine meals at grocery store here are $.99.

nutrisystem will work, however many of the people are prone to gaining their weight back because they are not able to find a suitable diet after they are off nutrisystem. It best to look for more longterm solutions.

My friend's brother in law and sister in law take it and have dropped weight without exercising. But if you don't maintain the lifestyle of eating right, you'll get it back.
