muscle soreness

ive been hearing different opinions on this, So ill ask the almighty web board.

My legs are sore from running last night.. Not sore to the point where it hurts to walk, but just sore.

Should I not go out running tonight, or will it be ok?

maybe my story will help you make your decision

during spring break i went snowboarding for three days sunday-monday-tuesday

The first 2 days i was fine, a few cramps here and there but i got through the day. Tuesday we were suppose to head home but my friend who's sponsored wants to go up one more time, i'm sore as fawk. My legs and ass were so sore but he told me to not be a bitch so i was like whatever. I stretched out all my muscles and took 6 advil liquigel's. Snowboarding that day was fun. The next morning i was probably 3 times as sore as i was the day before . Stupidass move on my part

I say run through the pain. I ran CC in highschool and we always ran through the pain and ended up better for it. Don't push yourself too hard but be out there tomorrow even if you have to run walk.

go, but go light. or go for a walk. its good to keep moving, but take it real easy. I partly disagree with Jesus, its not good for you to run through the pain. it hurts for a reason, your muscles are healing/building. let them heal....but give em a light workout./

like mantis said, hot baths are really good for you, and make sure to strech. the heat relaxes the muscles.

also bananas help ease muscle pain

I had similar pain after playing tennis and some light running, I then played a couple days later through the pain and then lifted and the next day I was perfectly fine. I'm not sure about what happened, but I also drank a lot of water the second day I played and lifted.

Stretch, do light exercise and run again when the pain/soreness is gone.

if I don't stretch before hitting the ice, my lower back always kills me the next morning.
