more sweat during cardio=more weight loss?

...another trainer and I had this debate... personally, I can't stand sweating like a pig when I do cardio... At my gym, we have floor standing fans, and when I do cardio I like having a fan blowing towards me... not necessarily full blast... but just enough to where I'm not soaked by the time I'm done... I personally don't think it's about how much you sweat, but how many calories you burn...

...do you guys know if there's ever been any studies that showed: more sweat=more weight loss?

Just concentrate on how many calories you burn. It doesnt matter how much you sweat. Once you finish your workout and sweat like a pig, you'll replenish all of that sweat when you take fluids into your body (water, gatorade, etc.)

All things being equal the only extra weight lost will be water weight.

Exactly, its just water being lost.

I sweat very little fortunately (for most situations at least) but that doesnt mean I'm not exercising.

Quick answer = not directly but possibly indirectly. My long answer to the link posted above.
