Oh, and for the slackers who don't have the gumption to start working out...
After about 2 weeks you start to have better sex!
After a few months you last for a half hour a pop... The womens like that. That's like 75% of my motivation now...

Pit Stop?
Well, I didn't want to make a thread, but I've also been on a weight loss program. Those of you that talk to me on AIM know this already, but I've lost 11lbs in just over two weeks. I eat less than 20 grams of fat a day, usually around 1000-1500 calories, and I work out almost everyday during the week, burning between 500-1000 calories over a period of two hours or so. My average heart rate is 180 during my workouts with peaks around 190-200.
It seems like things just came together, I got my iPod shuffle so I have music, I started using the $20,000,000 UCF gym, where the machines are state of the art and so is the EYE CANDY. Hot college girls on treadmills and stair-steppers . I found a work out partner, which is a big help, and I got some awesome running shoes, Nike New Balance 707s.
My goal is 280 by Spring Break, and 250 by summer vacation (end of April).

you might want to chill out on the high intensity cardio a little. for weight loss you want to be down in the 140-160 range.

Good job man. I'm trying to get my fat ass back in some shape that isn't round. I'm down about 12 LBS since January 1st. I have to drop another 3 before the end of this month. I promissed myself I would be 15 pounds lighter by the end of February. It's great, more energy, and I don't feel like I'm going to pass out when I play soccer anymore.

Exercise and a healthy diet is the only way in my opinion. I don't have a weight problem, but ever since I stopped binge drinking with my pals (gf came into my life) on the weekends, I seem to have maintained a weight that I usually only am at during the summer (when I'm more active in triathlons).
One advice that I give for people who have a hard time going to the gym and working out is to pack your gym bag in the morning before you go to work and right after work, drive straight to the gym. This way, you have NO EXCUSES. Get a solid hour or more of cardio or weight training and do this at least 3 times a week. 6 days a week would be ideal, but obviously we all have other things to do other than exercising, but what's an hour out of your day? I also try to stick with the semi big breakfast, big lunch, and smaller dinner regiment. This also helps too.
Good Luck to all of you who are working on getting fit. Your main motivation should be whatever you like to do in this world. For me, God willing, I will have a family in the future and kids. I want to be able to do everything with my kids, ie. play sports, run around like a fool, and just being a kid. Can't do that if I'm out of shape and immobile.

Nice work!
I'm an even 200 lbs. these days, down from 220 after Christmas...I also am aiming for 190, but I seem to have hit a wall.
I have had three major surgeries the last 15 months and have been on a LOT of pain killers, which has slowed my metabolism down to zero.
New diet is 1400 calories a day (don't really pay much attention to carbs or fat), lifting weights three times a week and playing basketball for 90 minutes 4-5 days a week....working great so far!

Good job on your weight loss - seems like a good steady amount since November.
I am about to embark on a 12-week fat loss program myself in 1 week. I am about 250 lbs and 13-15% bf (just an educated guess). My goal after 2 weeks is to be at 8% bf. I know I can do it and have the tools/knowledge to do it. Although specific weight is not a big concern of mine, I should be about 233-235 by the end of this program if all goes as planned.
As an FYI, it's a program published by Keith Klein, a nutritionist and natural BB.

I need to lose ~20lbs. I don't eat bad and I'm fairly sure all I have to do is excercise 30 minutes a day and I'll lose it but I can't find the will power to get my ass on a bike and do it.
Any tips for the lazy?

I'm lazy too...but it helps to have something to do when you exercise...I have to have XM or the TV on the whole time or I'm not into it.

I lost 20 lb since Jan 15th and I weight 220 now. I am not going to stop until I hit 160. When I was in college, I only weight btw 140~150.
My diet secret is eat less (which is extremely hard in the first two weeks). I only eat 1/3 amount of what I used to. and no food after 7.30pm. (which makes me extremely hungry b4 i go to bed)
In addition, PlayStion 2's DDR Max 2 become my favor game! Dance Dance Revolution Max 2! I was on the dance mat for 90 mins a day.
I avoid, cheese, sugar, rice, fat meat and anything that is deep fried. I am glad that I am a great cook so my diet meals are still delicious. Another thing, I don't eat out at restaurant anymore! You can calculate how much calories you ate. So for the past 1 month, I saved up $400 too by not eating out.
p.s. by the way, do not weight training, it will make you gain weight as you gain more muscle. you want loose weight and look lean not maintaining weight and look buffy.
