and we've determined how many calories i'm supposed to consume each meal by doing an equation.

I'm supposed to be eating close to 300cals each meal.

I started on August 20th AT 23% body fat. 180lbs.
Sept 20th I was 21% body fat at 170lbs.

I also was working out pretty hard. Doing High intensity crossfit type workouts
Salmons ok?

Didn't get any official measurements but if my BI scale is even close to accurate I'm at 25%

Wonder what i would look like if I could just get down to 20%

fish is very lean!!!
and I'm a hybrid....

i learned that its consistency.
even one off day counts against you.

Since, I am half asian, I cant eat any of my favorite foods.
just chicken, fish, and turkey

well, foods that I THOUGHT were okay, are not.

since I'm half asian, I like my fried red fatty meats! pork! beef! Nom nom nom nom! NOM!

i still eat my red fatty meats, but, if you were absolutely serious on shredding you would drop those kinds of meats and opt for white meats. chicken, fish, and turkey.

for breakfast I eat steel cut oats, EVERY morning.
this provides your carbs and fibers!

7am - steel cut oatmeal.
10am - some white chicken breast
12-1pm- vegetables and chicken
3pm - a little rice with chicken.
430-workout
6pm vegetables and meat and rice. (usually stir fry is good)

Your routine is almost exactly like mine. for breakfast I eat plain oats with milk.
Theres a huge salmonella out break in Southern Cali from chicken recently.
I been avoiding chicken for a few weeks.
I mainly just eat rice, turkey, and alot of fruits.

I weighted around 230lbs last year, and am currently at 175lbs.

Been stuck at 175lbs and ~23% BF.

Need to kick it up a notch.

Yeah, the first 10 to 15 pounds are very easy. it gets harder and harder as you lose weight. Now the challenge for you is mental. I have argue with myself over wanting to eat a piece of candy or cookie from time to time. lol

hory shet, so i tried on some of my dress clothes that i havent worn since october and they dont fit.

damn these holidays i really let myself go. gained about 10lbs, im back in the 180 range.

then again i havent been working out since i hurt my back in oct, been still following my diet somewhat.

i dont believe in new years resolutions because they're just asking to be broken, but I really need to get back into it or my old self will come back.

just an update, but ive been hovering around the 180 range.

i really need to pick up heavier dumbells. the ones i have max out at 20lbs

kind of discouraging to workout with such light weight, so i havent really been doing it.

Have you looked into investing a Bowflex SelectTech? I have one myself and it's a huge space saver. I go to my friend's house and his dumbell rack takes up a lot of space and I'm reminded of how fortunate I was to have the SelectTech.

I purchased it cheap when it was featured on SlickDeals. This is an expired deal but it pops up once in awhile: http://slickdeals.net/f/7025588-bowf...-266-73-amazon

If you can't get it done with 20# dumbells, you'll never get it done.

I'm looking at powerblocks, smaller footprint when using lighter weights.

If you have to use lighter weights, put more effort into it. Keep breathing and maintain form, but do more reps, and lift it as if it were a heavier weight. Strain your muscles throughout the whole rep range.

Elliot Hulse has a video on this, but I'm too lazy and don't have time to find it right now

This reminds me. A person at the gym gave me a pretty good advice when all I had were 20lb dumbells cause the rest were taken up. But he saw that I was having bad form with the 20lb dumbells because I was "taking it too easy". So he said in order to get everything out of that 20lb dumbell, maintain a consistent form at every rep. Lo and behold, that 20lb got tougher, haha.

Thanks I'll take a look when I get home.

But I'm also using these 20# dumbells for everything. Arms, legs, back etc...

Quick update since its been a year.

Fell off the routine in Jan and inflated about 25lbs by June/July.

So I bought a 2 year 24 fitness super sport membership and 15 rounds of personal training.

Been going religiously the past month. Mainly been lifting weights.
Squats, dead lifts, over head press, bench, cable pulls, ab/core work, etc and cardio everyday.

Weight right now is about the same as when I started but im happy my clothes are starting to fit better now.

Was borderline needing to move back up a pant size and dress shirt size

How's your nutrition? Exercising is great, but I feel like nutrition is still king.
