Calm down, someone is quite defensive aren't we. Dont get mad at me get mad at yourself. I wasn't refering to when you are sick I mean right now and before you were sick. I have been working out for a month now and I feel great cause its 6 days a week so even if I happen to miss a few days I still got enough in from the couple days before.
I wasted time making excuses and ballooned up to 262 instead of nipping it in the butt when I put on my first 15 lbs (used to be 200 lbs) Just trying to keep you from doing the same shit. Ellipticals are easy and no excuses like running where weather and bad knees can interfere.
Its your business what you do but think about it like I do. In a year you can be thinner, fatter, or the same...which would you want?

How much do you weigh?
How tall are you?
How much muscle do you have?
What are your goals? Skinny like Wsteven or muscular like IS300? Takes different diets and workouts.
You have a great wealth of knowledge here...take advantage of it.
We need to set a timeline on getting laid and getting in shape, and I am sure once you start getting in shape you will get lizzaid. Hell my swag has gone up ten fold, being extra bold with chicks these days.

you need to monitor your weight closely. i weigh myself every other day. if i weigh more than my lowest, i eat less till im back on track. eating healthy is probably 90% of weight loss. your motivation should be life, family, and friends! you should take your food priority and put it last. cage it up.
remember heart disease is the number 1 killer here in the states and that there are folks younger than 30 getting heart attacks. i know because a close family friend passed away who was under 30. he wasnt obesed looking but had really righ chelesterol, eat like crap, and doctors found out that his main artery was clogged all up.

Kind of stumbled into this thread. Not having time is no excuse. You don't even need 30 minutes to get a work out.
TABATA!

You could run squats, pushups and situps in less than 15 minutes and I bet you'll work up a sweat. Add 5 minutes or so for warm up and your still only around 20 minutes.
Even a minimal workout with that and a healthy diet, and you're bound to lose weight. (Assuming you're overweight now)

Hmmm... I don't remember how much i weighed when I made this thread, but i know for sure i was 27lbs heavier, since YTD that's how much I lost. Since the end if 2007, its Probably closer to 40lbs.
Anyways, just hit my first weight loss goal of getting to 200lbs.
Now on to part 2 which is to weigh what I ended high school/started college at. Which is 180lbs.

fook me, so i just hit 186 this morning. so close to matching my weight on my driver's license (i was 185 when i was 16-17)
anyways i need to switch things up, not really gaining any strength and i need to burn off more fat to get rid of my tummy.

Both, more diet than exercise. I started off with just exercise but it wasn't enough.
