Holy sheet the volume on this program is intense!
A typical week is like this:
Squat A 7x10
Squat B 6x10
Squat C 6x10
Bench A 5x10
Bench B 4x10
Bench C 6x10
Deadlift 7x8 (program calls for 8x8 but I couldn't do it)
Theres also a sheet ton of volume for accessories.
Next month is more of the same stuff
anyways body weight hasn't gone down
This morning i weighed in at 206
Pants and shirts are fitting tight
I haven't changed my eating habits so you would think that with all this volume i would lose weight, but no
Probably not the best idea, but I'm going scale back my caloric intake and see where that takes me.
I can't wait until I have anything under 5 reps.

So A would be Monday, B Wednesday, C Friday for example?
I know what you mean about caloric intake. I've been operating under but this weekend I pigged out and had my best bench day in over a year. Plus keeping my feet flat vs on my toes really helped me build a better base.

Yea. I’m on a 6 day program.
So I’m squatting Monday Wednesday Friday.
Bench is Tuesday Thursday Saturday.
Deadlifts on Wednesday.

So I went off program and set a deadlift PR on Saturday
pulled 425.
probably had 5-10lbs more too.
deadlifts have been the bane of my existence.
my deadlift has been stuck at 415 since June 2018.
at my meet at the end of May 2019 I missed 424.4lbs. Couldn’t even break it off the ground.
so pretty stoked to get a 10lbs PR in just 2 months.

Anyways, today I’m back on another 5 weeks of insane bullshit volume.
But hey, I’ll tough it out if it adds another 10lbs to my deadlift

Well it was a good run. Almost 4 years later and I hurt my back.
Happened Monday during RDLs and it was at the same weight I’ve done numerous times the past couple months.
Only difference is that I didn’t have my straps and it was belt less. Didn’t have my equipment because I was traveling in Hawaii.
Anyways I had a meet planned for late November. I won’t drop out yet gonna see if I can recover by then.
if anything I won’t do full power, maybe push pull or maybe bench only.

I suspect it was also due to poor hydration, different eating habit, different sleep pattern.
also did a strenuous 7hr hike/climb a few days prior where I ran out of water.

Long overdue update.
So for my back, I must've only strained it or something. I didn't do any lifting for about 2 weeks. Not feeling any pain I was able to deadlift and bench just fine, but I did not squat until 4 weeks after just to be on the safe side.
On 11/23/2019 I competed in another USAPL meet.
Competed in the 93kg class. However this this was the first meet that I actually had to cut weight for.
I cut down about 8lbs in 5 days.
Competed at 92kg/202.8lbs.
Went 6/9
Took 3rd place for the open 93kg class (this is why I HAD to cut weight, there were only 2 other lifters in my class )
Squat:
1st: 167.5kg/369.3lbs
2nd: 175kg/385.8lbs
3rd: 180kg/396.8lbs (missed)
Bench:
1st: 122.5kg/270.1lbs
2nd: 130kg/286.6lbs (2.5kg/5.5lbs meet PR)
3rd: 137.5kg/303.1lbs (missed)
Deadlift:
1st: 177.5kg/391.3lbs
2nd: 187.5kg/413.4lbs
3rd: 195kg/429.9lbs (missed)
After the meet I've just been grinding away trying to gain exp and level up.
About 3 weeks ago I hit a bench PR of 295lbs.
And thats about it. No meets planned until possibly end of summer or fall.

LOL 10 years later and I've come full circle and then some
Some quick updates since my last post.
Competed on 11/6/2021 at a USAPL meet.
Competed in the 120kg (264lbs) class with a bodyweight of 108.7kg (239lbs)
Squat: 220kg (485lbs)
Bench: 147.5kg (325lbs)
Deadlift: 195kg (429lbs)
Total: 562.5kg (1240lbs)
Anyways since this meet I fell off HARD, i havent consistently been lifting (or even working out in general) since then and i've bloated up alot. My weight is actually the same but my cloths fit way tight and ive had to buy bigger stuff.
Life and work stress got in the way. but yea yea excuses.
I'm going to be putting a pause on powerlfiting and work on getting my bodyweight/fat back down to a more reasonable level. Ideally back to my 2017-2018 weight of 180s.
I'm actually glad i have this thread for me to look back on as a reminder that i've done this before and I can do it again.

Hmmm... I don't remember how much i weighed when I made this thread, but i know for sure i was 27lbs heavier, since YTD that's how much I lost. Since the end if 2007, its Probably closer to 40lbs.
Anyways, just hit my first weight loss goal of getting to 200lbs.
Now on to part 2 which is to weigh what I ended high school/started college at. Which is 180lbs.

Man that's a super impressive squat. For me that was the hardest to get up. Guess you're going to tweak the diet too? I stopped powerlifting (no bb squat nor bench/conv deadlift) and focus more on hypertrophy. My volume is nowhere near what I was doing but I feel less fatigue, less injuries, and look better. Feel good about your accomplishments and crush your next challenge.
