it's like, some days I'm so fkng fat and bloated then the next day i'm like, damn, one ab and a bicep. fk it, I'm still beastmode from hs. eat pizza and ice cream.
rinse and repeat all week.

I do carb cycling though.
There's where I eat bite of spaghetti, then one of pizza, then one of spaghetti....

See Poliquin swears by no carbs in the morning because of insulin spike early in the day And then the small meal guys say you gotta churn the fire but then there's ripped intermittent fasting dudes that eat once a day. So many different ways and so confusing.

yesterday I was finally able to get a proper clean grip front squat.

been having wrist flexibility issues so I could only barely get the tip of my fingers under the bar.

you would think I would have good flexibility with how much fapping I do

ugh, maybe my age is catching up to me?

first time experiencing knee pain while squatting. attempted a PR today of 270#. 3 reps into my last set my knee started hurting and felt like it was gonna give out. so i backed off the squats and did a different workout.

any suggestions?

Knee sleeves?
fish oil?
msm supplement?


btw, adjusted my macros at bit, only taking in a tad bit more complex carbs (brown rice). noticed my lifts are finally moving up

Yes on knee sleeves and instead of fish oil (or with) take glucosamine with chondroitin pills. I went through a period where I was having knee and elbow pain (turned out to be my 1G RDX ironically and sadly) and my family doc prescribed me glucosamine. Used it for a couple weeks and then realized it was the rdx causing the pain so didn't stick with it, but read a lot about it and it has worked miracles for many many people.

Lately my lifts have been absolute shit. It is 100% as a result of not getting adequate sleep (relatives sleeping over for the past few weeks, shoot me now). I have been too sleepy to go, or go and get sleepy there, or go and actually lift but leave after as short as 20 mins sometimes. So took a break since last tuesday and probably won't start till wednesday since it's 3:30 and I am still up.....wreaking havoc with my weights and deconditioning.

Check your form. Post it here. Your stance might be too wide since you went for a PR. You're 32. You're still in your prime. I'm 38 and my knees don't hurt. Trust me at 35 is when you see the big dropoff. My boy at the gym is 31 and he does A LOT of squats.

a wide stance can cause knee issues?
what would be considered too wide? I'm normally a bit wider than shoulder length and my feet pointed slightly outwards.

it may also be related, but I've always had knee issues. Even from before I started lifting. Maybe from being too fat
