Hurt Back
Basically I hurt my back years ago...I actually don't know when I did it I just know that it comes on and off every once and a while. Well today I was working out my back and it started hurting again. The pain is right above my left leg and it shot down into my left leg at first but not anymore. Usually I just leave it alone and it goes away but it eventually comes back. Just to give you an idea it is where the sacrum is but over 4inches right above my left leg. Should I worry about this? I mean I have had it for a while and never got it checked out, its not tooo painful just annoying...anyone else have this?

might check it out with a sports medicine doc. These things usually don't get better with age.... and there may be some exercises that might help eliminate the pain, or ease it when it hits. Sounds like it may be an intermittently pinched nerve. (I'm a great believer in finding the right doc and then listening to him/her)

get an MRI on the lower back. Sounds like a herniated disk in the L5 region. An MRI only costs about $650 in case you still want it but your doctor will not assign it. or go to a chiropractor for him to authorize it, but don't let him adjust you without getting an MRI first.
