Healthiest, yet most effective Protein Bars/Cookies

I'm looking for something with the lowest sugar, carbs, and fat, but high on protein. I know there's always a trade off with these bars, but basically just wondering what everyone thinks is the best for a quick snack. I dont care about the taste, just as long as it throws some quick protein into the system.

I take the Apex cookies sometimes right after the gym because they sell them there. They're pretty good and dont seem to be high in fat, but the sugar is a little higher then I would like. 1 cookie is like 12g of protein.

Thanks

There are so many. Just compare the labels. I just do the powder though.

I have powder as well, but I'm talking about when I dont have time to make a shake, I want a bar or cookie. There's nothing that stands out in front of all the others?

Get cliff bars if you want an energy type bar. All the other protein and 'builder' bars are crap. Eat a few slices of turkey.

Anything that's high on protein and low on fat and sugar is gonna taste like ass. So much like ass that i doubt you'll be able to finish it.

For a "balanced" meal bar i love these. They actually taste good - http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=1708. They're not what you want if you're looking for only protein though.

A quick look through 1fast400's site got me these, they're probably more like what you're after - http://www.1fast400.com/product_revi...eviews_id=8443

Or you could try making your own protein bars.

^Thank you. That "Oh Yeah" bar seems pretty well balanced. I might try that.

The only thing I don't like is they've got soy in em, but if you really need to get a meal they're great.

i usually blend a protein shake beforehand so it's ready right after a workout, BUT if i'm too lazy or not able to make one, i'll grab a Detour bar...these days, they have a low-carb and low-sugar bars, but i still just use the regular...here's the label for the regular bars...they've changed a bit since a few years ago...

here's the older label from a few years ago...sorry it's a lil blurry
