Question endurance question (not during sexy time)

Question for you weight lifters... a few years ago I was 5'10 120lbs, a stick basically, now I'm at 175 3.5%body fat, pretty cut up, however, I dont have anywhere near the endurance I used to have. I know the new me, could kick the old me's ass, but still.... Im sure putting on 55 pounds in 3 years slows you down, but it feels like my heart is weaker, am I just being stupid or has anyone else experienced this?

cliff notes : during sexy time I'm fine (so she says), its just when lifting weights or playing basketball or somethin i tire quickly, but I'm strong as an ox...

do higher reps and sets when training, instead of 3 sets of 5, do 5 sets of 15.

Or as someone said earlier do cardio. running, basketball for a few hours, aerobics, cycling.

you have to train your body for the endurance like you trained your muscles to get bigger, you just need to find the right combination and get some enjoyment out of it

If you dont do any cardio, dont expect to have the greatest stamina. Even if your doing lighter weight with more reps it wont help that much.

I agree with dallison. Cardio for sure will help you out as would the higher reps, lower weight. Try doing an endurance set after your regular sets.

Lower weights, higher reps Or get into crossfit training. You want to build endurance, do 2 minutes of jump rope in between your weight sets and you'll be in phenomenal shape in no time.

Ill definitley try the cardio idea, I'm an ectomorph by genetics (hard gainer), was always told NO CARDIO or you'll get scrawny. I'll start doing cardio 3 times a week and see how that goes, and I guess to avoid losing weight I'll just increase my calorie intake to counterbalance it. Ty for your input guys.

^I have the same problem. What Fiftyfive is saying is right though. The only difference is I'm still trying to reach my goal weight before I get back into cardio
