Question Best Way To Stretch and Warm-Up?

Hey everyone... Was wondering what tips anyone might have on strecthing during a workout? Some say to do it before and some say to do it after....
What have you found to work the best?

I heard you dont want to lift on "cold" muscles. I would stretch before and still do warm up set before doing your routine.

Cardio, i would do it before and after it.

Depends on what exercise you are about to do.

When I do my elliptical, I sit on my stairs and 'dive' through my legs to a lower step...stretches the lower muscles in the back...then I'll stand and touch toes with a VERY SLOW bounce.

I never stretch before working out. I always warm up a bit before I stretch. I've pulled muscles by agressively stretching them when they were cold. So I do a few exercises before stretching, then I do the rest of my workout.

After a workout or run, I always stretch to cool down. I didn't use to, but now that I'm getting a bit older I find that I get somewhat stiff if I dont' stretch after working out.
