I just picked up some and was curious about their claim that it was much easier on the liver than other protein supplements out there.

For now, it seems about the same as any other powdered protein supplement on the market, but I am always looking for one that offers some advantages over the others.

Whey protein is good immediately before and immediately after workouts. It is a fast digesting form of protein. Other times, like before bed, casein protein is good(slower digesting).

I use Optimum Nutrition Whey right now. Love it. I'm also picking up some Casein soon for my days off, as I have a hard time keeping my protein levels up on days off.

I'm curious about this too. I haven't heard that supplementing on whey could be tough on the liver (short of really going crazy, like +2g/pound body weight). How is the taste? I recently tried some whey from Whole Foods and even though chocolate flavored it had a strong and distinct "cheese" taste that I haven't gotten from other whey products.
