take ibuprofin (sp?). it thins out the blood slightly to reduce swelling and blood pressure.

Has more to do w/ cyclooxygenase, but yeah, take an anti-inflammatory. & keep icing it periodically.

How's your vision?

*Disclaimer: I'm not an MD, nor do I play one on television.

*im not an MD or anything, but i asked my bro who is...says "are you sure nothing is broken?" you might want to get it checked out as a precautionary. You have a few tiny bones near the orbital which would be bad it broken....An x-ray or two will give you some peace of mind

ice might help a bit in the beginning, but based on what you wrote, it's too late to make a big difference

you should pry open your lid and check your vision and look at your eyeball -- double vision (especially on upward gaze) or change in visual acuity = go to a doc/ER

a swollen lid is nothing - it goes away in a few days - the key is what's going on underneath
