Advice on Protein Shakes?
It was recently recommended to me that I should up my Protein intake each day, so I was researching some Protein alternatives to and was wondering what type of Protein shakes some of you have had experiences with, and would recommend to a first time user.

I would stay away from anything made by GNC. Not only do they taste like shit, but they are overpriced.
My favorites are Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey (Strawberry or Chocolate) and Designer Whey (Chocolate)

i got a sick deal at GNC on their GNC Pro Performance Elite Series Mega Whey (wow that was long). I actually really like it, and it seems to be helping

how often and when do you guys drink your shakes? For my shit, it says to drink a shake within an hour after an intense workout, and for maximum results, drink another 3 hours after that. I only drink one shake on workout days after the workout. Is that coo?

Another good one is BSN Syntha-6 ...you'll think you're drining a milkshake (strawberry).

I just picked up some 100% Whey as a trial from my local grocery for about $10. I just plan on using it as a supplement for a boost in protein each day with dinner or lunch.

are you on cellmas and nitrix as well?? How many scoops are you taking of the NO-X? I took 1 scoop today since it was my first day, and I liked it. Next week I'll bump it to 2 and probably stop there.

ON is the can't go wrong brand for quality and price, but it tastes like shit in water or milk. I just went through a tub of thi - http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=1890 - in the cinnamon vanilla flavor. Freakin AWESOME taste in milk, way better than ON in water, and not a bad price overall. I'm about halfway through a tub of this - http://www.1fast400.com/?products_id=2211 - now, and it's the same story with the banana flavor.

It doesn't taste bad considering what else is out there. For the quality and taste it can't be beat for the price.
However, I like Designer Whey better than anything else mixed in water.

C'mon bro...dont sway the lad...peeps got to use what works for them. I've tried ON products, VPX products (which are great but way too expensive), MuscleTech (before I was educated on stuff), GNC , etc. BSN seems to give me what I need. Of course I dont use all their products, but then again thats cause some didnt work as well as others did. For example, I dont take their HT product, instead I take Forza-T which has been well known to be much better than HT or 6OXO since it also contains 60X0 amoung other things.
We can go so far as to say, dont buy any brand name Creatine...just make your own with bulk creatine and some dextrose...but we gots to do what we gots to do...haha.
P.S. for others...Green Bulge and White Blood from Controlled Labs are some some creatine and NO2 that will works very well as well.
Of course, I'm always done to hear others opinion and info. Always something new out there to learn

yeah that's what I meant...I usually work out at 7pm but today my roommate and I decided to go at 10:30am. We went to bed at 4, woke up at 7:30 and had a full breakfast, went back to our rooms and slept for 1.5 hours and got up at 10. Afterward, we drank the NO-X and headed to the gym about 20min after.
So we DID get 2 hours of time after eating a meal before taking the NO-X, however when we got up we were still really full. I think that was the case because food takes longer to digest when you are resting. In addition to that, we had little rest, and are not morning people (this was our first time going before 3pm), so I think all of these factors weighed in to our bad experience today.
Our stomachs were uneasy most of the day, I was light-headed @ the gym, and we just weren't feelin' it. Tomorrow though, shit will be cool just like yesterday. I'm not doin' shit like today again lol. I also decided to take 1.5 scoops today rather than 1.

Yeah, the first time I took it I was working out in the afternoon, just after one of my meals. Now that I workout before I go to work it makes it a little easier. As soon as I wake up I drink some Syntha-6, then later take the nitrix along with No-Xplode. Workout, Cellmass, then my meal about an hour after that ....and so on.
