10k Steps

10k Steps
I've been rebooting my whole life lately and part of that has been an honest attempt to get healthier. Of the different types of exercises available, walking seemed to be the one that would suit me best. However, I don't have the patience for a treadmill, and walking tracks get boring.
Then I discovered nature trails. Florida has tons of state parks with hiking trails. That gives me the outdoor experience (which is a great throwback to my childhood) and the varying terrain that keeps things interesting instead of monotonous.
I've read about a 10,000-step milestone which is supposed to be a decent benchmark for progress. That's what I'm shooting for. So, this is my second significant walk with my cheapo pedometer. The first one accidentally got reset on the ride home, so I didn't get a picture.
Anyone else feel like logging their pedometers? I'll probably keep mine here just to keep myself going.

If anyone is looking for a pedometer, you should check these two out:

The Omron was my first one; it's great but is bulkier to carry around everyday. The Fitbit is a lot smaller and is a clip but it's pricier.
I've been using the Fitbit for about 2 weeks now. I'm sticking to it.
