I am starting to look for a 09-12 red/gray/fwd/tech. I saw one with the gray gut so I know it is not a unicorn. Anybody have this combo? I am in no rush, thankfully my dd 01 maxima runs and rides great but after almost 14 years I can hear it rusting even in the garage lol.

Anybody have this color combo?

No. The manufacturer probably builds a lot of cars with certain color combos based on previous sales and marketing feedback. The red with a grey interior is probably a slower seller and thus they produced less. Of course, there are also the cars that were built custom from people that ordered theirs online. But otherwise, if the color combo wasn't a popular seller, you're not going to find too many of them.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. wow, there must be an awful lot of people that like a tan with the red. Glad I'm not in a rush.

black interior is what I had. I don't want taupe as it doesn't clean well

Carguy8888 12-17-2018 06:48 PM

I totally get it.

Interior color selection is rarely an option in a Honda or Acura. They sometimes don't have the ext/int colors you want. It's one of the negative aspects of owning a H/A vehicle.

I personally think the tan/red combo is outdated. It's sort of a early 2000's style if you ask me. But someone must like it.

Try looking for a Mayan Bronze they usually have an umber interior.

Carguy8888 12-21-2018 09:21 AM

Thank you, I'll try that.

Agreed. Seems that BMW cornered the market on that combo.

Light tan (and white, if you really hate yourself) interiors are a luxury car thing. It tells people you're either serious and disciplined enough to keep it clean yourself, or wealthy enough to pay to have it cleaned frequently.

Carguy8888 12-30-2018 09:25 AM

I am d, none of the above.
