What will your next car be?
A question for all you 4G owners. What do you expect your next car will be since the TL has now been erased from Acura's lineup?
For me it will likely be the Infiniti Q50S (AWD). I love the look, the drivetrain, and it has good aftermarket support from Stillen.

Either an S3 or Golf R...if I keep it more practical. I don't need all the room that the TL offers, but I'd like a bigger trunk which the Golf and S3 offer. Actually most cars offer a bigger trunk.
If I keep it non practical, maybe the new Mustang GT350.

The new GT350 looks pretty great though. And the new Focus RS!

I shouldn't say the AWD V6 TLX is totally out of the question for me, I could very well end up in one since I love my local Acura dealer. The problem is when I see a TLX on the road it just doesn't grab my attention like some of the other cars out there.

For me it's likely a few year old E550 Benz. It will be tuned and then hello 520/560.
I sold my Mustang and bought my TL BTW. Loved it very much, not family conducive tho. Under diff circumstances I would have another in a heartbeat.

The Golf R goes what, mid to low 12's with a stage 1 reflash.

Due to the possible change in lifestyle...
Honda Fit - Possibly Civic or ILX
Honda Odyssey - Maybe MDX
I believe kids are supposed to be expensive.
But most likely, I will be driving my TL until everything turns to rust and scrap. Also, kids fit in a TL

I just got my 4G so I am probably 4-5 years away from another car but I would look at maybe an Audi S3 or a Lexus IS350. I'm not a fan of the new TLX. Looks wise yes, everything else, no.

They have the stage 2 quarter mile video on their website. It's in the 11's.

Seriously intrigued by the Q50 Hybrid.
Realistically,
Nothing really appeals to me. I just wish the 4G TL had a 9 speed transmission and that the AWD system didnt rob as much power. I really like my 4G... I just wish it could deliver 110mph traps without affecting any of its existing virtues.

I don't even know, something that can be easily modified and reliable at the same time. If the TLX comes with FI in a couple years; that would be my next car.

I get a wild hair every few months and test drive a bunch of cars, and always enjoy getting back in my '12 SH-AWD. The tech in new cars is great, but that 3.7L motor combined with SH-AWD around a corner can't be beat. I plan to keep her a long time, only 36K miles and still under warranty for 4 more years lol. We just picked up a 2016 RDX AWD Advance, and I must admit its a blast to drive. I'm not sure I would buy another sedan honestly. I'm 37 years old, and find the ease of getting in/out and utility of a crossover/suv so much better in daily life. I love driving my TL, but my parents have a rough time getting in/out of it, even several co-workers my age struggle getting around the back seat. Its a great drivers car, but for passenger travel there are far better options. If you held a gun to my head and said you have to trade her today I would most likely go with an Audi SQ5

AWD TLX or perhaps another german sports car for practicality as I need a 4-door. Panamera would be the at the top of that wish-list. Perhaps an S600/S63/S65

I'm considering a 2016 RDX. The hideous rims are holding me back.. and the AWD isn't that attractive either. If the default rims were better and it came with SH-AWD I'd probably be buying it now.
I don't think I can consider a TLX until they at least give it a nice looking exhaust.

The only 6 speed manual AWD cars that remain in the fold are the S4 and the 335i xDrive (STI wing excluded). Both are difficult to come by, but with some diligent searching I hope to find one of those before they too, become extinct. Then, the only place to find the combo will be rear wheel drive sports cars./convertibles. Winter driving and control be DAMNED.

I am definitely leaning towards a Tesla S 85D. I wanted to pick a 85 but I could not justify having a rear wheel drive car that I could not drive during the winters in the northeast (I know I can get snow tires but I just prefer AWD cars). Once I saw that Tesla now sells Certified vehicles I started counting down to when certified 85D's should be available (Spring 2018). Hopefully I can get one for @ $60K by then.

The Original Shawdy
Not sure what my next purchase will be since I just added the 2016 RDX to my lineup a couple months ago. Love everything about it. AWD is way smoother then the SH and it doesn't need to be driven hard. That's what I have my TL for. Since my TL is paid off and the RDX will be as well around the end of the year. Gonna have to add a sports car next. Hello NSX if I stay with Acura, only $150k lol. If not, I'm looking into GTR, a M or AMG63. Expensive but it's next in my lineup.

Lots of 4G owners are migrating to Lexus and Infiniti but also to the Germans.
Popular choices are the Q50 Sport, GS350 F-Sport, A6, 5 Series.
The CTS is definitely worth a look and has some style elements in common with thew 4G.
Worth of consideration are also the recently refreshed (and vastly improved and refined) high powered version of the Charger and 300 if you do not need AWD (one 4G owners I know did buy a SRT 392 Charger).
Basically Acura has written a good chunk of customers (read us) off...smart move!!!

2010 TL AWD 6MT: New King
I've been checking out a few vehicles, and none of them are Acuras.
For sedans/coupes: 911, Model S, and S5. For SUVs: Macan and NX200t. Will also look at Renegade and CX-5.
I guess Acura doesn't care about its existing customers. Oh well, their loss.

I've been eyeing the Lexus GS 350 F Sport for a few months now.....the oil consumption on my 2010 tl shawd doesn't instill confidence in this car even though I really like it 😕😕

We have a 2012 TL SHAWD and a 2014 Lexus IS 350 AWD F Sport. Both cars are fun to drive and we alternate driving them to work. The IS350 feels sharper and lighter...and definitely has a much tighter cockpit and seating position. Both are great cars, but the Lexus is much flashier. The TLX was never an option.
