Exclamation What is this? Please see pcitures>>>

My car is a little over 2 weeks old and while detailing the car last evening I found this.........

The bubble you see on the lens appears to be a internal chip and that's minor so it doesn't concern me as much. However, where the headlight meets the body, the paint appears to be down to the primer. How could this even happen? What should I do?

Thanks.

The area is circled in red

What about on the metal part (body)? It is down to the primer. What can possibly cause this? A buffing machine?

^your pictures make it hard to tell.

you say its an internal chip, if so its a defect in the headlights.

cant really tell about your metal question. you say its down to the primer, but to me all it looks like is melted plastic.

Looks like something a little touch-up paint would cure. Why not just go back to the dealer and have them take care of it?

Yeah. Doing that today. Do you know if Acura sells the touch up pens for Acura paint codes?

Yeah, it does look like a fly-by pooping

Hopefully for the OP's sake that's the case.

dsm918...I can see exactly what you are referring on your picture. Given on the location of the damage, it almost appears this was done at the assembly plant maybe when the light assembly was put on the vehicle? As other have said, I would take it and have it shown to the dealership but likely some touch up paint should be able to at least cover the metal and prevent any further damage.

Let us know what the dealership said.....

They do sell the touch up paints at the dealers but it was pretty pricey ($8.00 or more as I recall). I believe you can get online from some of the Honda/Acura guys at about half the price as what the dealer charges.

Yes I would have the dealer fix it. For your own sake I would also get some touch up paint for any future dings. I've ordered from this place before.
