What do you think of this grill idea?

I've had my 2010 tl for a couple months now, and I'm loving it. I'm struggling with the urge to tinker with it, although nothing needs to be done.

I actually like the default grill pretty well, but what do you guys think of this (very crude) concept? I was thinking of trying to combine an aftermarket grill with the new style of diamond-pentagon grill.

I thought that was real at first

I think it has some serious potential. It’ll all come down to workmanship. Try it out!!!

I think it would look really good if done correctly. I know some people hate the pentagon grille, but I like it and I've been thinking about doing a retrofit to my car.

The pentagon grill certainly grows on you. Here’s a pic of the 2019 Acura TLX Loaner I had.

Grill is massive. Lol But it grows on you. When I drove back to get my 4G TL from the dealer I actually thought it was a RL.

That's a helpful picture, there's a TLX at my work that I hunted down today to try to take some measurements. I knew the center emblem was big, but man is it big. Look like if I go ahead with the project I will use a different emblem, because not only is the TLX emblem huge, it's also not cheap because it interconnects with the radar I guess. Will have to think about the implications of the large center hole.

Because you have already modified the front of the car, I would get front/side splitters. I have been eyeing this for awhile....

Actually, it's not my car in the picture, just a picture of a car I found with the same grille I was considering that I used to make the image. If it were mine I wouldn't hesitate at all to try the pentagons, but as I would have to buy and paint everything for my own car, I'm still undecided if it's worth the money.
