What are cool little "mini mods" you have for your 4G TL?
I just got to thinking about smaller little "mods" you can do to your car. Everyone has seen the threads on here about wheels and exhausts systems and such, but what about the little stuff? I'm talking about things like interior add-ons like pedal covers or LEDs here or there, or exterior things like swapping bulbs on the lights, etc. You get the idea.

I drilled out the black covers that are over the driver and passenger side footwell lights. Took all of 5 minutes and the blue lighting gives a nice little accent to the interior.

Removed the spare tire to drop 30lbs. Clear LED's in place of the front yellow parking lamps. Hello Kitty sticker in the drivers side corner of rear window (put there by my daughter.....).

Broken promises sticker, broken promises air freshener. Primitive license plate cover. Ordered a custom plate “ST1LFLY” so I’m looking forward to that. I wanted HOODRCH but it was taken.

The inconvenient truth
Restored my headlights and then put tint film over them to protect them. Also Painted rotors and calipers, then put acura decals over the calipers.

It is required here in Ontario and the sad thing is that I bought the car from auction and it came from Quebec. Quebec does not require the front license plate so when the car arrived it did not have a front plate. Adding the plate to the front was a very, very sad moment for me.

Ah, too bad. We can get cited for it as a secondary offense here in Utah, but only if we're pulled over for something else first. And even then, it pretty much never happens.
And good choice on the Blizzaks. I have a set of WS-80's on my stock wheels but have only had to use them twice this winter. It's been especially dry in the west

Does the panel that holds the footwell lights have to be removed to do that? I miss seeing the blue footwell lighting like my 3G had.
#13
Yeah, both panels are pretty easy to remove though. There's a knob that you turn on the drivers side and some clips on the passenger's side. Once the panels are out you can just pull the covers off of the lights and drill them out. For whatever reason Acura decided to put black covers over the lights.

The only cool little mod I have done recently is put a cargo bar after the hump in the trunk. Now my mini tool box, winter emergency gear, cables, and other odds in end are locked behind it and no longer dump over or shift when I am doing spirited stuff.

Can you provide a link? This sounds like it would solve my problem that I have. I carry a small toolkit, winter stuff, towels, battery pack jumper and it all goes in a cargo net towards the front part of the trunk that's right below the opening. Problem is, it stills takes up a lot of space. Utilizing that annoying little hump would do wonders for me!

Not so "little" in terms of price; but I found a pair of Morimoto fogs on eBay where they wiring had been hacked up by someone who presumably didn't know basic electronics. Bought them for $70. Did some splicing, spent some time aiming against the garage door and now they work like a charm. I highly recommend them over stock. But from what I understand, Morimoto only has fogs for the '12-'14.

They look really bright as DRL and it's really nice and white now.

I just got some LED bulbs on my 09-12 TL and I bought this one -> Putco 280011 (H11 FOG) . After installing it, I didn't need the anti-flicker module at all.

If I'm reading right, it looks like he upgraded only his DRL's and fog lights.
Installed some Piaa silicone wipers this afternoon. We'll see how much better they are over stock once we have some bad weather.

Hi echodigital, did you lose high beams with that bulb?
I upgraded the DRL and FOGS to LED. It was worth it .

We have alternator and crank pulleys available for these cars, they're a good way to pickup a couple HP and add some flare to the engine bay!

TLguy, Can you let us know which LED DRL you used and also where you got the switchback LED's from?

I have switchbacks that are 'JDM ASTAR' from amazon. They look great and are still working after about 1.5 years. Im still experimenting with LED DRL/high beams. Have not found ones I like and are reliable yet.

How hard to install the alternator pulley? I already have the Crank pulley and it definitely made a difference.

Also, I just did a muffler delete, gloss black roof wrap, and tail lights tint. I'll post more pictures/videos soon.
