So, I actually ..."got a bang to my head and out of my dream, almost passed out" after my wife reveal these words.

Touring Luxury is official. It was on the press info for the 1996 Acura TL.

oh God, we are all dumped.I thought it just some characters. but you guys remember acura built a brand in 1995 to 2000. the name is "Legend"
so TL is initial of "The Legend"
how do u guys feel now?i was shock after my wife revealed it.

The Legend is much cooler.But I'm pretty sure the RL is the Legend's successor, and the TL is the Vigor's replacement. Could be wrong, but the RL is still called the Legend elsewhere.

TL = "Total Loss" after a $%&#! lady ran a red light and rammed my pristine, 10-year old 2000 TL with 165K miles on it. Insurance gave me $4,500 for it (boohoo) which I put toward a new 2010 TL tech.

RSX = Racing Sport eXperimental
NSX= New Sports eXperimental
RL = Refined (&/or Road?) Luxury
But i think only the TL has had official confirmation as touring luxury...

I'm just mad that the Acura line has ended up with low mpg, high priced undesirable cars confused and lost between Honda goodness and German wannabes. Would have preferred to be back in the smaller, simpler 90s models, some coupes, or all out with v8s and crazy prices. bring out some hybrids or better mpg. the ZDX is the perfect example of the a car too late or at the wrong time. TL is too big! TSX is too tame, and I don't want a truck. overant.
