Subwoofer rattle

Hi,

I have a 2013 TL Tech AWD and recently i started hearing a lot of rattles when i play asong with medium to high bass. When i sat in the back seat i noticed that it sounds like its coming from the brakelight area rather than the rear deck. if i push up on the brakelight cover, it goes away.

Has anyone fixed this? it really takes the enjoyment out of listening to music in the car.

thanks

Since it's still under warranty. Take it to the dealership and have them fix it.

If you want to tackle it yourself. I think some weather stripping tape would be a lot more effective than Dynamat.

Trust me. Dyna mat the speaker baskets, top/ rear portion of the trunk. I have 2 10" subs with 1000+ watts going to them and even have a roof spoiler...no rattle. I DID NOT dynamat my roof liner.

Sound waves travel.

You can try spray foam or silicone in areas that don't have moving parts or is not visible

The problem is that if he is going to fix himself (which he shouldn't unless he's upgrading) is that the rattle is coming from where the rear deck is contacting the metal shelf under it. The 3G had the same issues.

Why the "next dumb question comment"? What exactly is the point of saying that? The guy comes on an Acura forum to ask a relevant question and you call him dumb? Grow up.
