steering wheel center cap off center

My steering wheel center cap is not centered. It is more to the right and there is a larger gap on the left. I just noticed it today while waiting in the car. Did anyone else notice that? Check the gap on each side to see if it closer on one side. I am sure it is not a big deal and has no effect on anything, but now that I saw it it does annoy me. I will tend to see it now when I would not have looked otherwise. I wonder if it is a design flaw or a build quality issue.

sorry to ask this but can you tell me how to post pics. I tried before on another post and ended up putting them in an album but not sure how to get them to appear here. Thanks.

Right. So its the airbag/airbag cover.

I originally thought it was the emblem.

Looks like crap, but you already know that.

Next time you're at the dealer (Oil Change or misc warranty items) tell them to fix it.

Mine is the same way, doesn't bother me to much, doubt the deal would be able to do anything about it. Good luck and let me know if they do and also its the same thing with the right said by the A/C it may just be the angle, but I don't think these cars are made like maybach's or bugatti's and they don't go over every inch of the car during production.

They look the same in daylight but when photographed they look different. I noticed the same thing when I took pics of the inside of my doors while they were open. The colors looked different on all of the materials. Maybe the different materials photograph differently. They all look the same day or night except in a pic.

I actually went out and worked it with my fingers and slid it over a little very carefully and it looks almost perfect. It really was not as bad as it looked in the pic but now it looks great. I also used a wide slotted screwdriver to gently nudge it over from top to bottom and now I will probably never look at it again. Always better to try yourself than to give it to someone else. There is probably no correct fix for that except to do what I did. They may have scratched it up anyway trying.

Mine is the same. "Bigger" gap on the right side but it doesn't bother me. I'm just going to leave it.
