Sourcing HDS HIM Diagnostic Kit
I would like to purchase an HDS diagnostic kit to do some maintenance on my 2011 TL. Where is a legit place to purchase the kit and what is the latest version? I can only find one on eBay located in the U.S. (others are from China) and their is broken English in the listing so that makes me a little leery.
The one on eBay requires a PC to display information (Windows XP) and is under $200. Then there's another version with it's own LCD screen that I found for $1,600. I'm not looking to spend that kind of money, so hopefully the PC version is legit.

newer versions of HDS require a link/subscription to honda's servers!

Compression test: Can't you just unplug the fuel pump relay and crank the engine for 10-20 seconds to purge all the remaining fuel pressure from lines? This was the procedure in older cars (many makes & models).

I would like to know how it worked for you mossman77. I have a strange noise coming from my engine and I would like to do a compression test on my car to see if it comes from one cylinder. I can't seem to find any procedure or video on the internet about that. My car has 180 xxx km.
