Not a big fan of reducing your light output/safety over looks. I would've left it stock, but do change the grill color to match the body.

Lightly smoked tint or vinyl would of looked better IMO.

As a suggestion, get some spacers. That tuck looks horrible. Also did you get an alignment after lowering it?

i think it looks good. i like the matte black paint on a cars i like black rims on a black car. just a preference, but some say the 'tint' on the lights doesnt look good. i think it makes a car look good when you see it drive by and its blacked out, looks smooth. customized.

Looks okay..
However, I would try to get your hands on some 3M 1080 Scotchprint Vinyl. There, you could find one that matches best to your paint.

I'm with vtec260...I can't see the logic behind tampering with safety equipment for the sake of cosmetic change. Add to that the increase in potential liability, it's simply never made any sense to me. But I do understand how some have (in the past) favoured the look of it.

That said, I think tinting out headlights and tail lights is so "done" now, that it's kind of like the equivalent of a toupee...it makes one seem like they are trying too hard for a particular look, even though to everyone else, it looks a bit cheap.

But that's just my impression. To each his own.

it just looks weird with those tinted.. you atleast have to do everything else to make it look right..

tailight, headlight, rear trim, front beak all have to be either painted or filmed to make your car look stealthy..

this reminds me of a corolla down the street that i see everyday.. dark tint tail light but everything else is stock.. car is white and it just looks tacky.. do it all or dont do it at all IMO.. you may want to darken your side mirror lights as well.

^My personal favorite was a "Battle Ship" grey (flat) Honda Accord with gold emblems and chrome wheels. Someone had no taste.

If I've seen it done to an Odyssey, I won't do it to my car.

eh...can't say I'm a fan. love that ya tried something a little different, but I think there's a good reason that nobody tints their fogs/turn signals...

so your saying this looks bad:

i can understand the argument that tinting the lights is a safety hazard, but i think the blacked out lights make the car look good. A girl said it makes my car look more sleek/smooth. She liked it and doesnt know much about cars. others have also said they like it.

honestly i dont care what anyone thinks about what i, or my car looks like. so feel free to tell me. i have spent my entire life not 'fitting in'. customizing my car, even just darker lights, is how i make my car look different that 90% of the other cars out there.

Black out the beak & trunk trim. The black rear
reflectors look good black but not so sure about black fog lights.

i have enough time trying to see out of my side mirrors through my dark tint let alone reduce my light output on my reverse light. Now before you tell me "i can still see it" i can tell you that you can see it better without those tint.

if you like it, then do it.. but it does reduce light, its a fact that is what tint does.

now i have not seen many decked out cars with tinted tails that actually look good in my eyes so i stay away from it..

Your car is actually done right

The color/percent tint and vinyl matches the cars color perfectly, unlike the OP's choice and half done job.

it does reduce light output. it also increases the chance you will get pulled over and given a ticket for reducing the light coming out of your taillights. i like the 'blacked out' look on my car. its black also, so its easier. i even pay $20 extra a year now for a black license plate. do i like it, yes. do some people think it looks ghetto/not good/stupid, pretty sure they do.

point is, do what you like. its your car. i used window tint on my '96 ford probe before i could find vinyl overlays or those plastic covers because back then everything custom was made for the honda accord or mitsubishi eclipse. man i was cool. still am . be yourself.

ah come one potz, the OP is from montreal, how many people you think are going to care?

i agree the tint is a little dark for a grey car. try some 'smoke' colored tint and it will be a better match. Tint is cheap, so it shouldnt be a problem. Hardest part is getting that stuff off. the vinyls come off in one big piece with a little help from a heat gun. i would hit but bluebatmobile

Ngrav, what % is that and did you use Real Tint or Tinted Vinal? and yes I 100% agree on the Heads and Fogs that's stupid but the LED tails on TL's are super bright and still bling thru the tint... Looking to do Tails, Reflectors, and just the FWD Parking lights on the front...
