My dealer offers free washes with service. I did not buy life time oil changes. Have only done it once and looked OK. They hand wash though. Would not let it go through a machine.

When I bought my car, the dealer said that one of their "Signatures", was that they hand wash, polish, clean, etc. the car every time I bring it in for any service. It usually adds 45 minutes to an hour to the service time. They always did a very good job at washing it, I was quite impressed and I usually will only wash my cars myself.

Last time I went in they said they no longer offer that service, but are installing an automated car wash and once its installed I can get a free wash again through the automated machine. So much for their signature service, I won't send my car through an automated paint scratcher.

Always thought it was free until one time I declined and they refunded me 10 bucks... uhh... okay...

At Lexus I have this card for 2 free car washes a month which is sort of funny. Audi used to be free but only for clients who purchased their cars at the dealership. Everyone is cutting back...

By the way I'm up in Canada so maybe it's different from the States.

My dealer hand washes the car for free. They told me I can bring the car in "anytime" for a wash.

only time I let my dealer wash the car was if I had a service done during the winter ... knowing that any swirls they would have added to my Zaino finish would be addressed in the spring when I started the whole routine for the new year.

I quit letting the dealer wash my Acura years ago, not because of the free swirls, but because of the over-liberal application of their "Vaseline" tire dressing. Got so PO'ed cleaning all that glop of the inside of the wheel wells. Not to mention the Greased Pig competition if you tried to rotate those slippery suckers after the fact. Not worth the hassle.

Hand washed for free every Friday unless I'm busy, without having any servicing done. Every now and then I get clay-barred too

Went in for a oil change and code check for P2646, they washed my car...

I lost a large bag of change and they cracked my mirror cap. Service advisor called me back and is replacing my mirror cap, however mentioned nothing about the stolen money.

I let my dealer wash my old Legend, and they always did a nice job. But then again, it was beige and didn't show swirls and scratches very readily.

Now, with a CBP TL, no more dealer washes for me. Sigh. The downsides of owning a black car.

I only let the dealer vacuum. Never let anyone else wash my car because nobody does a good enough job.
