im looking through the ads for tl sh-awd and almost every one of them is salvage title
i found more clean title s2000s for sale than tl sh-awd

is there an issue with handling on this car or what would explain almost all of them being salvage title?
auto or manual doesnt seem to matter

FWIW: Two major issues with a salvage title car. #1. The extent of the damage, related to the quality of repair. #2. If, after buying the car, you should decide to re-sell it, selling a car with a salvage title, is not normally easy, and your faced with a considerably smaller buyer pool. Theft recovery vehicles, are a different story. The only way I would buy a salvage title car, is if I bought it in it's damaged condition, and repaired it myself, or had someone I know and trust, repair it for me. Think about it. Many buyers of salvage vehicles, generally want to complete repairs as quickly and economically as possible, for a short turn around time, and maximum profit, which means cutting as many corners as possible, in the repair process!! Unless you have experience, and really know what your doing, I would steer clear of most salvage titled vehicles.

For a serious but speculative answer I would say that to begin with theres a lot more fwd than sh-awd. People who have sh-awd love it and don't want to sell them, especially in colder climates that see decent winters. Finally not many people want to buy a salvage title. So when nice ones do go up for sale they wont last long and ones with salvage titles linger since people don't want them. When I was looking for one at the auctions there were many more crappy ones for every nice one.

I traded my 2012 SHAWD Advance CBP/Umber to dealer on a Thursday, pictures up on Monday, Sold by Wednesday. It was that clean. They had it listed for 21k with 63k miles. Most likely sold it for $20.5k

Only thing I absolutely truly miss is the SH-AWD. But if you truly want one you have to expand your search areas and constantly be on the look out
