I bought one and everytime I look at the front of my car I grin and know that it was worth the money. It really transforms the front end IMO. Thats not your car in your avatar? Isnt that RJ's grille but painted CBP? Looks really good like that from seeing that pic I am thinking of doing the same with mine since I also have CBP. But the RJ grille is a quality piece. You gotta pay for quality. Up to you tho just my 2 cents

Well said! I agree that the RJ grille really does make the front end look better... IMO, that is the grill Acura should have used OEM!

I am going with the new RJ lip kit and A bar grille and I couldn't be happier about spending $2,000. RJ has gone a long way in making Acura's and Honda's that much more distinguished.

Yeah and NO here's my :2cents:

I say yeah because the grill i am interested in is the sport grill from acura and with the roks done with the back trim it will probably amount to about the same price maybe even a little less...but on the other hand ..you have to pay extra sometimes to be different and not have something that everybody else is gonna have..plus we all know aftermarket parts are usually made to fit various cars sometimes and even the ones made for the car specific don't fit properly all the time so to have a exact fit product for your car that you wont see everytime you turn around is def worth the money ..I think i have only seen 1 incident that a person was unhappy with their ron jon grille because had a noticeable gap ..but that is not the issue with every body so i say ..shit it's worth the money ..if you dont like it dont by it ..

I wouldn't say "throw away" when spending money on the RJ grille. I've got mad props to Rondy for investing/building this part when the economy was taking a dive. It completely transforms the car (the blacked out headlights helps also). I think it's worth every penny - if that is what you want out of your car.

At the end of the day, if you're making $10 an hour - spending ~$900 on a part for your car is a LOT of money, and maybe you can do something better with that cash instead. Ten years ago when I was living hand to mouth, I would have never been able to afford something like this, I would think people are crazy to spend that much on such a small thing.

But for some of us that are older and a bit more financially stable - it's nice to have the option to make the car more unique (and more like how the 4G should have been IMHO).

^ QFT! The grille would not be an issue in that case.

LOL @ throwing money away. I like the grille, a lot. It really makes the 4G model look great.

I think it's expensive for a grill. But who am I to say, I thought I was crazy for spending $400 on billet aluminum shock tower braces for my Mustang!

Modding isn't cheap. For RJ, R&D is expensive, then getting the items made, painted, etc. It would cost me more by far than $800 to make that grille.

Give it time and the price will come down just like everything else does. You just need to be patient.

The RJ grille is sick... just crazy over priced. They would sell so many more grilles if it was half that price. An entire OEM body kit can be had at that price, which is ridiculous. Granted, they are still selling plenty but I can't truly believe that a lot of individuals are willing to fork over that much money for a single cosmetic piece....

Until the price goes down substantially, I am waiting to buy a used one lol

Awesome! Are you going to do just the shield portion of the grille or the whole thing? I think just a little touch of carbon would look great!

Well worth it. IMO buy it non-painted and have a quality body shop blend it and install it.

That way you can insure the best fit and finish.

If you think the grille is expensive, better also factor in that you'll want a body shop to do the install / fitment (and paint if necessary) for you. I've seen some of these that were home-done on this forum that look like crap IMO. Huge hood line gap and bad centering. Spend the bucks to make it look professional.

How do you afford the car if you find the grille to be too expensive? Just asking...

just because you can afford this car doesnt mean that the guy is throwing money away on a part like this..

for example..

you own a 40k car, but does it mean that you go out and eat $100.00 meals everyday?

i mean im 23, and i bought this car myself.. and i didnt even attend college.

its not about having money, its about how you would like to spend it..

I stand by my question. If that seems like too much money for a QUALITY made part, then the person might not be living within their means and thus living for the car payment.

Since when is the RJ grille an example of throwing away money?

I don't know many 23 yr olds that can afford to drive a car like this.. I doubt many can get one on their own.

This sure has nothing to do with going out for 100$ meals everyday nor do I see how you made that correlation.

I meant that as a general statement, by the way. Logic is sometimes lost in translation......

buying a $800+ grill when your grill works perfectly fine is throwing away money.. you dont seem to think that way?

if there was a problem with the stock grill, then yes, a RJ grill would be in question.

heck, modifying a stock car is considered throwing away money when it works perfectly fine stock lol..

No, I do not see it that way at all. In that case, you threw away $40K on a car. You could have spent $15K (or even much less) on a car that does the same thing.. gets you from point A to point B... don't you seem to think that way?

In that case, you have thrown plenty of money away on your car.. since the items you swapped out were working perfectly fine... talk about talking in circles ..WTH?
