Reliability & maintenace cost, I think this is my next car.👍🏽

Hey all, I've been looking around the market for a Mercedes E350 4matic or a TL SH-AWD. I'm leaning towards the Acura because I know how resilient these cars can be and I'm not familiar with the Merc brand and maintenace costs seem to be very high. I will be modifying it. I just need to know your own stories and things that have come up with ownership of the TL so I can see if it is the car for my family. Thank you all so much for your time. Drive safely.

There's a lot of information on here with the Pros and Cons of the 4G TL, like oil consumption, torque converter (AT), propeller shaft, etc. But most of those have TSBs on them with the exception of the oil consumption which is still being resolved, I think. I know I definitely have problems with mine.

But it is a great car overall.

I would try to get a 2012 version or newer. You will be able to run it for 8 years easy. I would get the Tech version as the car is a tank to park without a rear camera.

Dont ask Scotty Kilmer on MB
Granted we drove GLC crossover and the ride was nice. On a smooth road, seriously felt like we were gliding and not driving. It had the air body control. Though my wife's 16 lexus 350rx with luxury package rode so damn smooth with 20 in wheels it knocked out the MB from the list. I am partial to my Acura TL. I love my car. Excellent AWD and power with vent seats. Every winter I put on the snow tires and rims

I wouldn't get one without warranty on it. All the little things can get expensive.

I appreciate the response and I will most definitely look further into the forum for info. What is a TSB? Not familiar with the abbreviations.

Great info thank you. I'm looking to spend under 25k so I hope to find a TL Sh-AWD manual CPO. Don't think I will though.

Thanks for the response, I was considering a 13or14 Gs350 Fsport but the price range I'm in gives me very few options. My Uncle has one and I have had the joy of abusing it with the paddle shifters and it is such a great handling luxury vehicle. I really am looking in to a TL b/c my wife and I are big manual fanatics. Not many mid size luxury vehicles with a Manila any more. And the S4 is to maintenance heavy with a long list of issues.

That video was so hysterical and made a ton of sense lol. I appreciate the response. I think I'm staying away from Meecedes after seeing 2 spark plugs per cylinder, what a joke.
