Production date

The VIN will contain the production year, but not the month. You should be able to find the month/year of assembly on the white sticker on the driver's side door jamb (B-pillar). It should be printed on the top right corner.
Here's a quick decode of the VIN for 2010 models:
19U = Honda of America
UA8/UA9 =TL J35Z6/TL J37A4
E/F = 4 door 6MT/4door 5AT
2/5 = TL (base) & TL (AWD)/TL (tech) & TL (tech & AWD)
X = check digit
A = model year 2010
A = factory code Marysville, OH
000001/800001 = USA/Canada
So a sample VIN of 19UUA9E5XAA00001 would be a US spec 2010 TL SH-AWD w/tech 6MT serial number 1 assembled at the Marysville plant.

I know this isn't helpful at all, but on the Prelude H22 engines, you could find the month the engine was produced because of this little stamp on the cylinder head that was a circle with 12 digits running around it (like a clock) and it had an arrow pointing to one of the 12, so you would know which month out of the year the engine was manufactured. I wonder if the J-series has that stamp somewhere too?
