Pricing for a 2012 SH-AWD Advance

I just got back from the dealership and was quoted $43K + $860 for destination.

I have two questions:
1) What is the actual dealer invoice price on the car? Edmunds says that it is $42,685 including destination but the dealer is saying that is wrong. They say that it is $43,098.64 (including destination). Is this correct?
2) Is this a decent price? Especially with the expected car shortages and lack of sales right now...

Thanks in advance (no pun intended) for your feedback!

That is about where my car started out at too. You probably won't see any better price at this time. Inventory is low, so they aren't going to deal much, if at all. 2.9% financing is about all they offer right now.

Thanks for the feedback... I spoke to a few dealerships and I was amazed at how little they were willing to discount. Supply and demand I guess...

I was able to get mine for 42,500 + dest. Going to depend on your market though and this was at the beginning of april... things have changed a bit since then.

I pulled the trigger. It was the best price out of the 5 dealerships in my area and they just happened to be my preferred dealer. I should have it by the end of the month. Thanks everyone for your help!

Check the paint job under bright lights before you accept it, especially if it has a low VIN and dark paint.

Love driving the car, but the dealer is working out paint issues. I guess they made a change to their buffing process at the factory and as a result, some cars show light hazy, pancake size spots in the clear coat. Hard to see in most lighting, annoying as hell in my garage.

I got it in crystal black pearl but it's supposedly just coming off the assembly line so I'm not sure about the VIN. Hopefully they fixed the buffing issue... Thanks for the tip.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get this price? I'm not finding anything that low.

great choice on colors! $43.8k plus TTL is great price for SH-AWD /advance pkg! I just bought the reg TL w/ advance for $41k +TTL. Very hard to get the price down since the inventory was low, and it will continue to be this way.. At least I got a decent trade in for my 04 TL. You win some and you lose some

Wow I got the same car as you and moved up from my '04 TL. NICE! I kept mine b/c it had over $8K repairs and high mileage so I'm keeping for my daughter to drive. I got a little better price than you only b/c I think they didn't get the memo about inventories until they had committed to me.

Not a bad price, especially with the lack of availability.

I was able to buy mine in the beginning of April for $42,800, including destination.

Thanks. I was thinking about trading in my '05 TL but the price they gave me was not so good. So I'm going to try selling it on my own.

Ummm. Wow. What a difference a month makes... Looks like you got it below invoice. Nice!

think about it..

something is new, they wont offer it for cheap price.
