Which one and why J-pipe

Which would you go with? RV6 looks like it deletes the hanger with longer flex and 3.0 collector vs XLR8 seems to have more open curves and 2.75 collector - Unknown factors of the pipe closer than stock to transfer case.
Sidenote: Exhaust do funny things with size and restrictions. So bigger isnt always better.

doesnt really matter; splitting hairs here.
Go with the one that brings you warm and fuzzies!!

I went with the rv6 and never looked back. But justn is right it doesn't really matter which one you go with.

The biggest factor to me is that only rv6 is making a product to replace the stock precats. Have to respect and support that IMO.

on my 3rd gen, I also went with RV6....because at the time...RV6 came out with a 3rd revision while ATLP and XLR8 were on their 2nd iteration.
I opted to choose the latest and greatest at the time....the competitors, ATLP and XLR8 both caught up quickly with their 3rd version, tho.

in the end, it really doesn't matter....(R.I.P Chester)

No hanger, no problems with rattles. It comes with spacers for the sub frame which is where the rattles are most likely to come from. Thing is that depending on the condition of the motor mounts both j pipes might require you to use sub frame spacers to avoid rattles. But only the rv6 comes with them.

I used the spacers it comes with and haven't had any problems.

I voted XLR8 only because I have FWD and RV6 only makes the pipe for AWD ::biggrin:

But everyone else is right - there's not a huge difference. I haven't seen any significant difference when it comes to complaints about quality or power gains. They both free up a decent amount of restriction and are made with good quality. I've had my XLR8 for about 2 years now and it's held up great, even with the salty Utah winters and 160K miles I've put on it (yes, 160K in 2 years. That's what happens when you drive Uber....).

Edit: I should also add, that I have the RV6 pre-cats and they've also held up great. Perfect fit with the block and XLR8 pipe.

I went with XLR8 because I liked the tone of their exhaust more than the RV6. Since I ordered the XLR8 exhaust, I just went ahead and ordered the matching J-pipe too lol.

While it may be a little bias, we happen to think the XLR8 Jpipe is the way to go! :toocool:

I'll let these glory shots speak for themselves....

Everything is made here inside the US from mandrel bent 304 stainless with CNC'ed flanges!

They come with a 2 year warranty, offer a subtle sound change (on a stock catback), and look killer!

You can find the FWD and AWD options for sale on our website. Feel free to send me a PM if you need some help getting setup.

Thanks for all the support guys!
